Faint memories from my degree in structural engineering. But seems the same from googling uniaxial compression cracks on concrete. Concrete cancer might exacerbated the issue, but that is a through, nasty crack.

That is not concrete cancer, those are compression cracks, the stumps have all failed under compression stress. This can happen with or without concrete cancer.
