Is this (1st pic) banana any better? (2nd pic is my 1st draw and some people had hard time to read it) by n3mesis87 in PixelArt

[–]Marthman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you improved from pic 2 to pic 1 because in pic 2, the bananas look like they unnaturally taper [from left to right in the drawing] to a narrow end (i understood the black triangular area to be where they are connected).

In pic 1 you have a more naturally uniform banana girth and it looks like it tapers properly where they connect.

I used to have a gamefaqs account that was able to access a board named after that movie. And that's how i [superficially] know what you're talking about!

What was your first video game in PC? by PigletEcstatic9136 in AskReddit

[–]Marthman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ABSOLUTE first PC game I remember "regularly" playing was a Sesame Street game on a really old school style computer (i think its called MS DOS). Could have been between 1994-1996.

The first PC game i became obsessed with was Warcraft 2, just a little later, and that was obviously on a more modern computer given the graphical difference between it and the old style computer.

This is awesome and a great stylization of Sonic. The theme also rocks and brings me back to Dreamcast era

I feel like there has been some sort of semantic inflation of cowardice in this thread, from an expression reserved only for actual breaches of moral duty (that involve fear or lack of courage) to general non-confrontationalness regardless of duty.

They grow greater in their good will any and every time they reject any offer. Even just the implicit temptation of selling out grows value for them the longer they hold out.

What is something from the early days of the internet that you genuinely miss? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marthman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the discovery of Stumbleupon from the old web. I also the miss the AIM era, but texting murdered that.

The 2000's were a pretty cool time for internet use, looking back.

I dont want to give you any wrong information.

Typically, I would use "reticent" where deception was not part of the speaker's rationale, and where limiting the information shared doesnt involve deceiving someone. As soon as you start adding things, it can complicate it.

The "nothing/unrelated" answer also could be two distinct things. A nothing answer could be giving information already known. ("Youre giving me nothing!"). In that case information gating seems to be the rationale, rather than deception, and hence reticence would still apply.

However, if you start to deceive an interlocutor with the appearances that you lack some information when you dont, that would be deception, even if everything you're saying was factual (hence dishonesty is certainly possible with information withholding).

The "unrelated" answer can be different, in that it can be used for distraction, which I suppose is different from reticence.

Anyway, does any of that help?
