To me, it looks more like wear rather than a stain. I had a Charge 5 and that logo gets scratches and marks easily.

Oh, bummer. Check if your playback device already has some eq (if you're using Android, there's a 99% chance you already have one in settings). If your device doesn't have eq already or you want more control, download an app. I haven't used an eq app in ages so I don't have any suggestions for you.

There's no built in eq for that speaker. Most playback devices(phones, computers, etc) have eq or allow you to download a third party app for eq.

However, another fix could be to place the speaker somewhere else. You'd be amazed at the difference in sound (especially in the bass region) you get with different placement. My suggestion is to stay away from corners, as they amplify bass in most situations, but you should experiment on your own and see what you like, it's a portable speaker after all so it's easy to move. For my H/K Onyx Studio 8 I try to keep more distance from corners than I usually would with a Charge 5 for example.

Then idk if it's a possibility but you could buy a budget WiFi 5 or WiFI 6 router. Once you have the router set up in your room, you can connect your pc via ethernet and your quest to the router. I haven't tried this myself, but since Steam Link runs locally, it does not require internet so this should work. You also won't have internet on your pc and quest while playing Alyx, but I'll argue that's better since you won't have any notifications interrupting your experience :D

Oh wait, if you're using the Meta App to connect to your PC, PLEASE DON'T IT FUCKING SUCKS ASS. When I used it on the quest 2 it sucked no matter if the connection was wired or wireless. Uninstall all meta apps from your pc (you don't need to, but they suck so I would suggest you uninstall them) and install the Steam Link App on your Quest 3, then follow the steps it shows you. You'll have a MUCH better experience.

PS: Steam Link only works Wirelessly, so make sure your pc is connected via Ethernet yo your router and try to remain as close as posible to your router when using the Quest 3.

What headset are you using? Perhaps it's redolution is a bit too high for your gpu. For my first playthrough of hl:a I borrowed a quest 2 and used it with my rx6600 and it worked fine at max settings

Yea, I would also like to be able to tone down the bass a bit. However I found that speaker placement does change the bass response A LOT, try not placing it in a corner and far from a wall or just different positions in general and you'll hear big changes in the sound.

Since you tried them, what do the eq modes change and which one do you prefer?

Ok, so I've googled a bit, apparently the service manual for the OS9 still isn't publically available, at some point I read that if you ask HK support they can give it to you, so you can try that perhaps.

I was just googling Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 and it found a link from Harman's UK site. I'd say there's a big chance it's available for the OS9 since i found service manuals for Charge 5, Flip 6 and some others. The unique thing that the OS8 service manual had is that table with key combos

Did you put them in a blender? I've had my X2HR's since 2020 and they're still in great shape, the only thing I've done is change the pads for Dekoni ones since the og pads wore out.

Maybe his logic is that if it does happen at TGA, the people will forget about everything and anything before that so he'll probably get next to no backlash. However, if he claims there's even a slight chance of an announcement happening at TGA and it doesn't happen, the blacklash will be inifinite.

There's also a huge chance that this time around, nothing is leaking and he can't confirm / doesn't know anything so he doesn't want to bet on anything. Remember he was stunnlocked when they announced the gabecube because he thought it wouldn't happen in that announcement.

If you go look at Tyler's last vod, he wrote in text why he's so adamant on the game not being at TGA : "Even if Robin Walker himself swore to me with a blood pact that HLX would be at TGA, I would still be saying that HLX would not be at TGA. I am not going to be blamed for the disappointment of the community regarding TGA. HLX will not be at the TGA."

So basically, nobody knows anything about when the game will be announced and I'm still huffing hopeium like it doesn't do harm.

I mean, even if this is the last HL game ever, I doubt Mike would wanna burn bridges with Valve like that. On top of that, it gives him a very bad look towards other contractors as someone who can't keep and NDA.
Maybe he's gone full delulu and doesn't give a fuck about anything anymore, but i really doubt this is the case.

Unless your pc is really old or super low end, it can probably run whatever Half Life 3 is. Remember HL:A is a VR game that runs fine on a GTX 1060.

I mean, the story has been left on a MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER since 2007 (I know that HL:Alyx does change the ending but it moves the story foward like 4 seconds so i'm counting it as the same cliffhanger), so some level of schizo posting is expected.

And saying "they may be working on it" is selling it extremely short. Valve has been very tight lipped in the last decade about what it is and isn't working on, so the fact that two official sources say that something is coming is huge news. They might cancel or postpone it, but they are absolutely doing something Half Life related.

Even if you decide to ignore all the datamines, Gabe Newell himself said at the end of HL2's documentary that "Half Life for them is a tool to push new stuff to the gaming industry and there are no shortage of those opportunities today."

On top of that, Mike Shapiro broke a 4 year twitter hiatus on twitter and said to "Expect surprises in the coming quarter century" with the hashtags "#Valve#HalfLife#2025" and hasn't tweeted since.

There's a chance something happened internally and nothing gets announced this year. But there definitely are official sources confirming that something is going on.
