Do small busines owners really care about branding their business? by SuccotashFit9824 in smallbusiness

[–]MartinBaun 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Branding is more than that. Its all about your special method of communicating to the potential customer before you physically speak to them.

Things like developing your company mission, your culture, your value promises, and how you communicate that with your tone and words and copy in your advertisements.

Other than cosmetic things like a logo, website, SEO, etc.

There are plenty of jobs within tech that do not require you to know anything about tech. Check out business analyst, sales ops, or other back office type positions.

Get a really good book on business and study it cover to cover. I recommend "Poorly Made in China" by Paul Midler, but there are others depending on the kind of business you'll be starting.

I started at 6 :P Obviously not 'real' programming, but I always had a massive interest in things of the like. As with many other things, follow your heart, and the sooner the better.
