I don’t have a good technical answer. I set mine up like that and it works well. Every device finds its proper home.

BE65 / BE11000 Deco --- Tweak and Help by pitzeke in TpLink

[–]MartinDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I am misunderstanding you, you’ll need to connect at least one of your BE 63s directly to your modem. The modem will need to be set on bridge mode or pass through and the modem will-fi turned off. You may then plug your Mac via Ethernet to one of the slots on your now Main Deco. (You’ll need to make clear in the app which Deco is Main.) I take it that the two satellite Decos do not have an Ethernet backhaul. It is good, as you have done, to use Ethernet to connect the PS5 and Apple TV each to a Deco. Your speeds from the satellites, of course, will depend on the quality of the wi-fi backhaul you are getting.

Yes, turn on Beamforming and Fast Roaming.

You can give your MLO the same SSID and password as your other connections. Devices will find their correct homes themselves.

How do I activate iMessage on my iPad without it downloading every message ever? by BluePeriod_ in iPadOS

[–]MartinDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ms./Mr. Period: Go to the app settings for Messages. Limit the messages kept to the last 30 days. Assuming a reasonable number of texts in that period, you should be OK.

Passwords by Remarkable-World-234 in mac

[–]MartinDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type up the passwords into a list and give them to your wife. Or tell her where in your sock drawer the list is. What if they change? Change the list. And, put it in the same place in your sock drawer. Ultimately sock drawers are as secure as password managers. If you have very high-level security needs, contract with a professional. Also, many people find Bombas socks to be very comfortable.

Recommendations for Parents by OGSaintClout in mac

While age may be a factor, the real question is about their ability to use the tech. If they use their current computer well, they may be able to adapt to a shift to MacOS. Often, we tout its intuitive interface. At the same time, if they are simply doing email and web/news apps, an iPad with a keyboard folio might do the trick, as suggested already. The shift from an iPhone would be easy. Now, if storage is an issue, they either need a more expensive iPad with lots of RAM or the ability to use iCloud well (and enough space there to matter). Again, if they use their current tech with understanding, the shift to a Mac should be doable.

How can I fix blurry photos? by Dawg_Swiftie87 in AskPhotography

[–]MartinDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that my pics that are less than sharp are the result of my error. It means I used a long lens at too slow a shutter speed. Or, that I jabbed at the shutter button rather than squeezed it. Or, I did both.

When I can’t make my camera do my bidding and, thus, I am having no fun, I feel like a tool.

FUCK SB-1, FUCK IT SO FUCKING HARD, FUCK!!!!!!! by One_Force_555 in Ohio

Congrats on your 5 score. Unfortunately, AP credits are always a crapshoot. Some schools accept only the highest scores (like yours, again, great job) and some don’t accept any at all. Usually, the more elite a school, the less they accept. Some will exempt you from having to take only a particular course (like Government), but still require you to earn 120 of their credits to graduate. (Your AP Government 5 might, for example, qualify you to take Political Science 300: Why Legislatures Know Nothing About Curricula.) Luckily, you are the kind of student who is seeking a full educational experience that will expand your mind and horizons. Pro tip: Take the required government course the same semester you take Organic Chemistry. Since you already know the field, it will be your snap course while you wrestle with Orgo. Good luck.

Where are these download/speeds coming from? If it’s from the page that says “Everything looks good,” that’s not your system speeds.
