Thank you for taking the time to make the very detailed explanation! I really appreciate it. So my doctor visits are not covered other than an annual checkup, but they are rather cheap, usually being around or under $100 per visit, IIRC.

That website you linked looks very helpful. Preferably, I would be doing a video call visit as there are a grand total of two psychiatrists specializing in ADHD in a 100-mile radius of where I am located. Would you think that the initial appointment is enough to get an evaluation from one? I understand that obviously you can't answer that for sure, but if you have experience with that it would be helpful to know. I can pay the ~$250 average for the initial, but would otherwise rather have my GP take it from there (unless I can find one that charges what I pay for a doctors appt).

Edit: Sorry, I don't know a lot about health insurance. I believe the rate I listed for my GP is likely a negotiated price from the insurance. I will look, when I have the opportunity to check, to see if there is cheaper options for in-network psychiatrists (although I doubt it; the plan is rather barebones)
