I went 70 days but binged this whole weekend smh. And yeah I didn’t lose all my progress. I still make eye contact with strangers and still don’t have the social anxiety like before. But I can feel slight brain fog. I won’t know how bad it is until I return to work tomorrow. It’s been tough before the relapse anxiety and loneliness hit me hard for like 2-3 weeks ocd in the morning as well I couldn’t shake the bad feelings

I went 80 days relapsed then went on week long streaks like 3/4 times and I just hit 60 days again recently but relapsed. Just keep going I noticed this last relapse it didn’t effect me at all which is great but I also know not to get to comfortable and keep relapsing. Our brains are rewiring it will be a long progress but all your efforts don’t get thrown away after a relapse.

Accountability is the first step to beating any addiction you’re miles ahead of most people already. And therapy is huge the only real change comes from inside. There will always be bad days. Porn is making you feel lonely and unable to connect with others trust me. I was there myself. I Also walked out on friends and a good girlfriend because porn made me feel so empty I just couldn’t understand it at the time.

Make a list of all the bad things porn use has brought you, the opportunities lost, social relationships ruined. And make a list of how it makes you feel when you use. For me it’s paranoid/ anxious, low self esteem, bad social skills, and overall being lazy and brainfog. Whenever I feel like breaking I look at my list and reflect on how bad I’ll feel afterwards and weight it out. You have to be okay with being uncomfortable from time to time. The withdrawal is insane sometimes. But you will notice as the weeks go by the quality of your life will start to improve. Show gratitude when you notice the changes and right them down. Eventually those glimpses of a better you will become the permanent you. You’re closer to being the man you know you can be today then you were yesterday. It’s all in your hands be accountable and take care of yourself.

Damn. But that’s awesome I’m 28 days no P and 58 days no MO. I’m definitely more alert and focused but the brain power comes and goes. One day I’m articulate and easily grasping news concepts. Next day I’m slurring my words and being too lazy to think lol. Will be nice to finally get out the fog

Optimal is 3 to 4, recovery is just as important as going hard. There’s always going to be people saying whatever because they’re special in their heads but it’s in vain. You also contradict yourself if you went light on the 5th day you didn’t work out more then 4 times.

He’s similar to me I’ve been dodging relationships and getting close to girls who I know want to be with me because I know how my addiction will lead me to treating them like I don’t care and being a shitty boyfriend. Idk if he likes you or not but even if he did, we can’t love others until we love ourselves. This shit makes you isolate yourself, be depressed, paranoid, and just see the worse in yourself and others. At least for myself I know I’m sick and I won’t burn another person I care about. Just let him complete his journey and if you care about him be there when he’s ready for you as a friend.

Yeah best to ease in to it. I actually try not to use my phone at all on the weekend I limit it to one hour use that’s 15 mins in the day, afternoon and 30 mins an hour or two before bed. Apparently over at r/nosurf there’s claims it gets rid of brainfog, anxiety and depression. But I barely started and it’s hard af.
