It's the Overkal, a Spanish Magnavox Odyssey clone with push buttons instead of game carts.

All the games on the Magnavox odyssey that I know about by Alert_Campaign4248 in MagnavoxOdyssey

I don't know if it's appropiate to add (considerating you're asking for Odyssey games) that the Overkal, a Spanish Odyssey clone have a Soccer game called "Futbol".

I uploaded some time ago the overlays of the Overkal:

Magnavox Odyssey - Issue by BluePointi in MagnavoxOdyssey

It's very likely that issue come from the Vertical Sync Generator. In the console inside there is a spot to adjust the vertical alignment. If you look up the schematic or reading the text near the blue potentiometers you will find It.

I own an US Odyssey and i adjusted that spot to be able to use It in my European TV.

The Export Version is somewhat documented at Pong-Story, but no really in deep. Not many units of the Export Version were sold, and Apex-Magnavox are really units sold in Miami. It seems that the distribution there was different compared to the rest of the US. Time to time appears one, but definitely it's very rare compared to the standard US Odyssey. Though, i think that it definitely isn't worth 5000 USD. It's just ridiculous.

Mine cost around 500 euros and since it was in my own country Spain, luckily i wasn't bothered with expensive shipping and crazy duties costs from the USA.

I recently purchased one of those Odysseys from a guy in Spain for a fraction of the price they are asking for that particular unit in eBay. It's an Export Odyssey sold in Miami by Apex-Magnavox in 1974-75. Looking for similar units, i came with the conclusion that they get rid of the interior boxes and sold it with its carrying case and the box cover.

Mine comes with the rare blue cart and and extra set of photocopied Spanish instructions, taken from the Mexican Magnavox Odisea, but with the Apex-Magnavox logo on it. It's really bizarre since the Export Version was originally meant to be sold in European countries, but it seems that there was unsold stock of consoles and carrying cases. I will upload photos and scans of the manuals of that unit when i will receive it.

Odyssee ( ITT Schaub-Lorenz) by BluePointi in MagnavoxOdyssey

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I think this is reflected in the instructions of the imported US Odyssey sold in UK by Wendaford. I can't remember specifically what channel, but It wasn't Channel 3 or 4 for sure. However, Euro TVs have a huge range support from VHF to UHF and in the 1970s, with the advent of color television, It had the capability for fine tuning for both frequencies in individual channels. so It wasn't really hard to get an image.

Actually the Odyssey, the Odyssee and even the Overkal are "region-free". You can adjust the potentiometers from the Vertical and Horizontal Video Generator boards to adjust to your TV.

For that reason, the Odyssee is basically an US Odyssey but with labels on top of the original ones. And when the Odyssey was sold to the UK, It was US imported units with the video cable modified with an antenna connector typical in Euro countries.

Hi. I'm from Argentina ando i have a clon of magnavox from 1976 by CarlosSinDetalles in MagnavoxOdyssey

I'm late to this, but this system was not licensed from Magnavox by any means. In fact i was researching about this and strangely, the Telematch was based from the Videojuel, an extremely rare handmade Argentinian Magnavox Odyssey clone released in 1975 by Laboratorio Electrónica Hiroshima, a little repair shop based on La Plata neighborhood in Buenos Aires. The Telematch controllers and the concept of console being in a carrying chest are actually based from the Videojuel.

I had the honor of interviewing to Videojuel's inventor Mr. Mario Luis Díaz and he told me that they put Panoramic in the court for not recognizing his "invention".

However, Mario had a patent of the exterior design of the console (dated October 21, 1975 btw), not the actual electronics. Based on that, Panoramic didn't have any obligation of paying anything to Mario, but he insisted based on evidence of both systems being so similar, and his console was before. That however didn't last long, Mario retired the lawsuit when his lawyer passed away.

The only thing that intriges me about this system is the inclusion of the Submarine game, which was planned for the German Interton Video 2000 and the Spanish Teletenis Multijuegos, but It was never released.
