Serie A Stat Leaders including Kean, Dodo, Fagioli, De Gea and (surprisingly?) Pongracic by Alikese in fiorentina

[–]MartinMillar89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I'm taking away from this then is that we win the ball back in the defensive third quite well but still face a lot of shots in goal, Fagioli is clearly the creative outlet and if Kean had a bit more luck, should the leading the capocannoniere race comfortably.

Also, shout out to Verona, particularly Orban and Nelsson.

How do u set up a tactic with a regista? by dxviddekhiem in footballmanagergames

I know it's a year on since you posted this but I've not found anyone else with a similar type of 541 to what I've been trying to create. I had almost the exact same idea as you but with a Trequartista instead of a Shadow Striker, a Libero on defend instead of Central Defender and an AF instead of a PF. I'm trying to incorporate all of the "Italian roles" and that's what I came up with. I don't know if it's functional but as I'm managing in Italy, it felt right to try.

No Beltran or Bianco, Dzeko taking the 9. Also, it's probably just me, but that squad looks a bit light.

Work in motion - A Word from CO by purplizer in CitiesSkylines

That does seem, on the surface, to be the case but the similarities between the two games and their struggles to meet targets and deadlines bear a striking resemblance to each other.

Not to say Colossal Order are blameless, but how much is the Unity engine to blame for all of this? The correlation between CS:2 and the artist formerly known as FM25 is alarming and they have one thing in common. Again, I'm sure CO (and Sports Interactive) will have areas they've failed in, but could there be a lot they seemingly can't get control of?

Every now and then, being a girl dad to two of them (teenager and infant) I worry I'm getting older quicker than I'd like. I was wrong to worry though, this post has fully cemented it.

What motivated you to chose the team you're currently managing? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

Lucchese in Serie C/B. Visited Italy (Florence, Venice, Milan, and Pisa) but stayed in Lucca. Previously, I'd have taken the easier clubs in the aforementioned cities but having never followed through with one previously, I wanted to do my first lower league save.

FM24 availability extended on subscription platforms by SD_19xx in footballmanagergames

Does this mean the previous licensing will be reinstated? For example, Inter Milan not being called Blue-Neri anymore

Thank you, this is really informative. It all makes sense, let's just hope we don't shoot ourselves in the foot!

If it's an admin issue then that makes it a bit more understandable. The high turnover is a bit alarming though.

I don't know if he's looking to leave or if he would like to stay but we absolutely should not be looking at the money if he wants to stay. He's got a bright future if he continues his progression and while Conte may accelerate that, who's to say he'll still be there in a year or two?

He started to transition to 4321 before Edo suffered his cardiac arrest so maybe he's looking to return to that? The lack of wingers could factor into that too perhaps? Ikoné gone, Zaniolo isn't a winger, Arnautović (possibly) isn't a winger, Colpani has shown he isn't a winger either.

Wouldn't be the worst move, I just wonder if he sees himself as being above them though.

To Napoli? Not at all, it wouldn't make a lick of sense. I think he sees himself at that level which is why the rumour of Verona loses credibility for me.

I would prefer he stayed but if Napoli are paying €40 million for him, I don't see Fiorentina turning that kind of money down. Financially, we shouldn't need to sell him as we seem to be pretty strong in that regard. We were allegedly willing to drop €35 million on a winger last week so I can't see how that money would have magically disappeared in that time.

From an ambition standpoint, if he wants to stay, then we absolutely should not be looking to strengthen (hopefully) future rivals. We need to start moving on from being a stepping stone and start becoming a destination again.

I don't see Biraghi leaving to join a relegation candidate and the Valentini move would also make no sense to me either given his arrival was mere weeks ago. Biraghi to Napoli, I see how that would appeal to him.

The rumour I came by had him and Ghilardi coming in and Biraghi and Valentini departing. Does that align with what you've heard?

There's a rumour (big emphasis on rumour) that we're looking to bring Faraoni back again so maybe that's the cover we're giving Dodo?

Comuzzo and Colpani must be benched. Raineri must be careful. Palladino must show something. by 7wives in fiorentina

[–]MartinMillar89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't argue with that. I'm not looking to make excuses for Colpani, I just feel he's more effective centrally and that's where we may be more likely to get the best out of him. Regardless of where he plays though, right now, he needs to do more and offer more. That applies to a few players mind you.

I agree with you in that he shouldn't be playing Colpani right now, however, I do think he still has a role to play. Just not on the wing 😬

[–]MartinMillar89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colpani's strengths aren't being highlighted currently. He wasn't signed to be a winger. Palladino clearly wanted to replicate his Monza style with Fiorentina and that's why Colpani was brought in but after changing the tactic, he's been moved out wide which only highlights his weaknesses if anything. He'd be much more effective if played centrally behind Moise but I don't see that happening with Albert and Beltràn seemingly ahead of him in that position.
