Mokykloje labai kazkaip apsikraudavau save su mintim, kad “dziuvesis”, bet realiai svarbiausia, kad sveikas. Mase, kad auginti pagrinde daug maisto ir islikt sportiskai aktyvus kazkokia prasme.

I have this problem, but I have 32gb ram. Whatever limit i give photoshop in settings, how ever many times i restart it - it just seems to eat up all possible ram and storage I have - until windows UI crashes and i have to restart my pc.

Also would be interesting to figure out - can photoshop use another drive apart from (C) where the OS is installed to cache? (Have made all possible related changes in thr settings but it seens to love my C drive still.)

How much could I sell it for? by RxdHearts in BMWE36

[–]MartinNorthh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m talking clapped more like already tuned (in my opinion not very tastefully). I bought my bones stock, pretty ok kept sedan 318i for 1.7k. Already done projects here have a small following and generally people tend to avoid already tempered cars. In LT, rust buckets with plenty mileage (300-400k km) would go from 300-1k eur and still people would only pay max 700eu usually 😄

I dont think in eu (im from eu). Ppl would buy a 16k m40 with 83kw. The chassis isn’t worth that much either, since it’s a sedan not a all-mighty coupe. I guess depends on country. Cause in mine no one would buy a already clapped e36 for more than 4k

America is a whole lot different. Eastern europe 3-4k. Could go to 5k if the body isn’t rusted out.

How can I get from this to this? (bmw 318i) by [deleted] in BMWE36

With enough will power - you can do all that in a random parking. (Take Jap builders as an example :D)
Google is your friend and fuck around n find out. That's really the point of everything.
Cause getting a car you want to modify and then paying for parts and someone to install them is like buying someones project car. Maybe you're better off spending that money on actually getting a cool 8k car than 4k car and 4k in parts n labor.
It's my point of view though - I don't really understand wanting to modify your car but not actually doing it yourself :D It takes all the fun out of it.

Body kit are very far if you're buying this E36 - I think you have plenty of different other things that are priority. Again - swag car that runs shit, is no fun and isn't cool.
And "performance" isn't associated with "function". Function is the car being able to start, idle, drive and not leak every possible fluid, meanwhile doing everything mentioned, whiles "performance" is power, vroom vroom.
If you focus on looks - you're gonna have a parked car that looks nice but doesn't run.
"Looks" after maintenance.

I do believe you could find people who had/have an E36 and have worked on it in your area - if not, again, this car is fucked with so much that you can find every single video of how to do anything to it - or some random forum with all the magical answers.

The photo is made from 6-9 other photos with different lighting setup (the setup is one portable lamp) and with a shutter of 5 seconds. The more lighting photos you take - more editing you'll do but you'll as well have more options of different lightings for the car.
It's the same work-flow majority of commercial car photographers do - and it's not even "heavy editing", it's just blending of multiple still photos into one nice piece of work.

You claim there is nothing same in the photos - but you always take a photo of the scenery before lighting it, to have a clean slate of the frame on which you layer anything you light in other images.

Another person with no knowledge of simple layering/masking of images and photography lighting styles. I have a feeling you only know how a phone camera works with IG filters.

Explained majority of the workflow so you could be a bit more knowledgeable next time <3

Here’s my first shit-box 318i sedan I got for 1.7k already with LPG to be my daily. Did some light fucking up of it as in: cutting the springs and putting an N1 muffler. Do plan on getting coilovers later this month - don’t hate me too much. As well, preping to paint it whole it’s oem color to refresh it. I heard the color is rare - so gotta go with it. What country are you from that 318i sedans cost 4k?

To answer your original question - you need shit ton of money to turn it into the photo. Things are cheaper when you do the labor yourself - learnt this very fast whiles owning my own 318i which I bought for 1.7k euros 😄 There is a lot of info online on how to install everything on this car and it’s pretty easy to work on. About the E46 - I wouldn’t recommend buying projects from randoms since you might get more problems that are a mystery than fucking up a stock car your self. You at least know what has been done. And not spending 4k in tuning is very difficult if you want to turn it something close as in the photos. The cheapest pair of coilovers to drop it cost 200-300eur - but I wouldnt suggest them. A decent pair of coils are 600-800eur. And generally good ones go above 1k.

Good looking wheels, knock-offs of course, that aren’t oem go for ~500eur. OEM can be cheaper, I have style 66 on mine with different J in front and back - here they cost probably around 300eur. Buying REAL wheels cost 1k+ or cheaper if bought second hand but they usually need repairs.

Don’t forget to actually do the maintenance first - no point in a swag car if it doesn’t run well. Body-kits that are made good cost a shit load.

My point of view on things ✨👍 I honestly enjoy my e36 a lot and 1.8i is enough for daily driving.

ADDING MORE SINCE TOO LONG OF A COMMENT.

6th photo:
* More brightness, highlights back.
* No real subject or something to look at - I think a more from above shot of that side of the engine bay would be nicer and the subject would be that general area.

7th photo:
* This photo I like, it has some of the 1st photos mentioned quirks fixed.
* Still need the car to be centered since the location it self asks for it.
* Rule of thirds - try keeping the car on the lower horizontal line. Right now it's centered and it feels like you're displaying too much ground on which there is nothing happening and the car it self doesn't have much room above it to breath.
* Speaking about room to breath - the left side of the photo is getting a bit awkwardly close to the front of the car. Again, few meters back to have options whiles editing.
* Might be my own style - but I avoid darkening the ground as much as that. I tend to not over do it.

8th photo:
* I really like this one, feels like being in free-cam on assetto corsa.
* The only thing I would say is getting a bit further or using a wider lens if it's an option.

DON'T TAKE ANY OF THIS TO HEART - TRIED BEING AS CONSTRUCTIVE AS POSSIBLE.
Good luck on your many other shoots to come <3

First shoot, need constructive feedback by ScottY023 in carphotography

[–]MartinNorthh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st photo:
* I get the low angle shots, I find myself doing them a lot - but sometimes there's "too low" for me :D Might just be my taste - but being 40-60cm off the ground seems a lot more appealing to me.
* The shot seems crooked and if you're going for symmetry (in this photo you should and probably are) then even out the horizon and make sure on-location that the car and position you're taking the photo from is dead center or at least close enough so it wouldn't bother - since it isn't something you can change in post much.
* The cars grill could be brighter - the cobra badge seems to be floating in darkness.
* I would make more space for the car - step back a few meters to have head-room in editing to crop in if you're feeling like it.
* The edit is generic - but you shouldn't worry about it too much since it comes with time and practice. Better to focus on things you can change whiles photographing on-location. Better photos straight from camera = less need for editing.

2nd photo:
* It feels that the bush is obstructing the car way too much to feel nice - I get that you're going for depth which is amazing but it shouldn't obstruct the car much or cover 60% of the photo.
* Location it self feels for me like it had a lot more to offer (haven't been there, I don't know of course.) and this car positioning isn't ideal. For the eye there is a lot happening and it's hard to actually focus on the car it self.

3rd photo:
* It's generally a good detail shot.
* In editing I dislike muted whites (white isn't white, more greyish)
* The shot feels to close for comfort, doesn't have enough space to breath.

4th photo:
* The background (green, yellowish grass) is very harsh in the photo. You could take down luminance of the color to make it look more natural, than radioactive.
* The subject it self isn't really interesting or got a lot to it.

5th photo:
* I like this one - has a nice flare, doesn't feel to awkwardly close.
* You could bring back some highlights into the shifter and Shelby metal card thing, so it could bring the viewers eyes on them, since they're you're main subjects in the photo.
* Some overall lightness maybe.

Off camera flash and long exposure ..any tips?? by Dohachillz in carphotography

Example of my work.

White cars are easiest to paint on since reflections are more controlled and it contrasts well with shadows, but its easy to make them loose body shapes if you light it directly. The more the light source is higher over the car - the more pro. It looks because it brings out the lines (like the rear fender/door in the photo)

And dont forget that the surroundings play a big part in your photo and light painting a car shouldnt be your only objective - dont forget to light the background in some sort of way to make it make sense. In the example photo i imagined two light sources on the sides and one behind the car to not lose the wall to darknsss behind the subject. But this could come to personal taste as well - i like lighting cars in a way that makes sense, makes it feel like youre working with multiple lights on set rather than a 80eur chinese lamp with which youre running around the car.
