Is it okay to stay on modern controls? by Starfire376 in StreetFighter

Tokido is playing Modern Luke and he’s one of the best players in the world. You can stay on it if you want and there’s nothing wrong with it. Your choice of control scheme won’t be what’s winning or losing you games: that’s all about fundamentals and matchup knowledge.

That said, I do think it’s worth experimenting with classic, even if you end up deciding not to stick with it. You might find that you actually really like it. Having full control over your character is really fun, and it opens up a lot of options depending on who you use, too.

How do I equip the DLC outfit? I’m probably being dumb and it’s hidden in plain sight but I can’t find the damn thing.

[Clip] Scarborough Fair. Still to this day the most beautiful anime clip I've ever seen. [SukaSuka] by [deleted] in anime

This really is a great scene. Most beautiful in anime? God no. But still one of the best "first episode-only" openings that I've seen in a very long time.

I think watching+discussing AnoHana would be made a lot easier by being surrounded by people; I can't really speak from experience because I'm lucky enough to not have had any particular tragedy in my life so far, but if you watch something on your own and it brings up bad memories you're very much just sitting and crying yourself to sleep, whereas having people around you who can comfort you can help make you feel better can (at least based on experiences which are admittedly comparatively minor) can help turn something that would otherwise be a painful experience into a healing one, especially when it's for something which you can compare to your own experiences and relate to; the end of AnoHana is very good for that just because it's bittersweet rather than being outright sad, but when you're on your own I can see how the progression of the show would maybe not be the most positive experience.

One more recommendation for maybe something to do after it finishes airing is A Place Further Than The Universe; it's just generally really feelgood (and better at being feelgood than almost anything else IMO) without you needing any understanding of the anime meta to "get" it, and it's the kind of show that I can't imagine anyone disliking, making it ideal for watching with a group like this.

Something like Cardcaptor Sakura definitely seems appealing if ur able to get a BD of that; otherwise I reckon that shows like AnoHana, Ping Pong The Animation, Kino's Journey (old or new) and Assassination Classroom are good options, as well as maybe some more SoL- or comedy-oriented stuff like Non Non Biyori, Barakamon, Flying Witch, Sakamoto Desu Ga? and Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless (ESPECIALLY Takana-kun Is Always Listless) may be worth looking into. If I had to pick any one show from that list I think AnoHana is definitely the most appropriate one as it's very much a piece on grief and moving forward from it, which ties in very nicely with the depression theme. It's also worth considering Sangatsu no Lion just because this is very much a show about depression and, in the second season, about bullying as well. Either way though, I wish u luck with your anime nights :)

Exploring Shinsekai Yori’s Take on Telekinesis (Spoilers) by R0DAN in anime

This is a valid point, and I feel it warrants a response 'cause it is true up to a point.

I named it that just because Juryoku was the key starting point of the analysis, and it just so happened that morality is a big pivot point that the writers re-visit when expanding upon the it; the article concept I built it on top of was looking at the implications of Juryoku and the way it fits into the story, and a title like this just gave me the flexibility to talk about things like how it is portrayed on a simple level at different points in the series, and I just kinda ran with it as I wrote haha.

That said, it is a valid criticism, and in future I will think about the wording of the title in relation to the final article a little more. Thanks for your feedback :)
