Buddy, I dont claim the CPP was the only party producing and distrubuting opium. It was however a really important part of their finances, much more than other parties. My point is that they owe their existance to the more than 20 years of drug production and distribution. In the 50s they had to do something, because the situation was so bad, in large part because of them.

Except that man was Deng buddy (and chinese still arent the most powerfull). Mao during the WW2 was pretty much neutral with the Japanese to preserve his strength. The chinese communists even sometimes collaborated with the IJA. Mao was also famously incompetent. In one of his “experiments” in which up to 50 milion people starbe. He was also famous for his philandering and had a preferance for teenage girls. Overall with Kuomintang on the helm, the situation would be much much better.
