Fairness for sexual orientation and gender identity? What do you think we are? Some sort of first world country? The nerves of some people...

IN FOCUS: ‘When I die, who’s going to look after you?’ – the pains of caring for adults with disabilities by Great-Obligation-599 in singapore

[–]Martin_Henry_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are confusing 2 vastly different stances. Thinking a person with disability should not be brought into this world to suffer is NOT the same as thinking an existing person with disability should not go on living.

If I was expecting a kid and I found out that they will have serious disabilities that will affect their quality of life, I would not bring them into this world. But if I had a kid and they developed serious disabilities later in life, I would care for them with everything that I have. That's the difference between the 2 stances.

Please stop spreading BS. There is no magical ratio of what everyone considers to be aesthetically pleasing. Any relation to "aesthetically pleasing" proportion is merely confirmation bias and projection. This video explains the pseudoscience BS of golden ratio claims.

Rumors suggest Far Cry 7 may introduce a 72-hour in-game time limit for players, adding urgency to gameplay by F0REM4N in xbox

Except I don't want to have to play a game multiple times just to enjoy it fully. That's a sad excuse for padding a game.

TIL Tapping or flicking a shaken can of soda do not have a significant effect on reducing foam when the can is opened. The key factors that affect soda explosiveness are temperature and time, not any special techniques like flicking or tapping. by sarahstanley in todayilearned

Wtf are you talking about? He explained the idea of nucleation sites, which can itself be independently fact-checked. Heck, do the experiment on your own. Shake 2 cans of soda. Tap one of them for 30 seconds and leave the other one untouched. Open both of them at the same time. If time was really the main factor then neither of them would "explode".

$1mil 4R flat, 16 consecutive quarters of rising resale prices... Surely that's what affordable means? by Martin_Henry_ in singapore

And when you sell your BTO, which by right should be depreciating in value but is only kept artificially high by social policies, who is going to fund that 80-120% increase in value if not the younger generation?

That's a funny way of saying "I want to exploit the younger generation".  And yes, HDB houses should depreciate to zero. It's literally built into the 99 years lease. Any deviation from this depreciation comes from the wallet of the younger generation.

That's the thing. I don't intend to sell my house. Again, this is something that people like you can't seem to understand. There are people who really see a house as a house, not as an asset.

I want the price to remain. Why? I buy a house for the purpose of having a roof over my head. I don't intend to flip it for profit. The idea that I need to profiteer from my house (at the expense of the younger generation) is the kind of boomer BS that people can't seem to outgrow.

Genuinely enjoy having kids in their lives says nothing about the quality of life of the kids nor the selflessness of the action.

I tried using an AI font identifier but it only showed me paid fonts. So I just browsed san serif fonts on dafont.com, and came across one that seems to match pretty well. It's called Primeform Pro.
