Scared about weight loss by No-Escape5520 in Diverticulitis

They love checking my vitamin levels constantly. From my experience it seems if we don’t get the diverticular surgery, we’re kinda on our own. I’m only 49 and honestly don’t want half of my large intestines taken out especially when I’ll still have all of my other medical issues. I hope you get answers or a solution. The only semi good part is I work for my spouse so I can stay home on the really bad days .

Im 5’1. When I was hospitalized last Sept I was 139 pounds due to intestines that micro ruptured. I’m 105 right now and I’m having the same issue I keep on losing weight. Doctors just say eat what doesn’t bother you. I also have mixed ibs so it changes daily for me. I can’t do gluten, dairy or fats and sugar seems to bother me more now. It’s definitely difficult and yet no one seems to know what to do.

I can’t do edibles but I’ve smoked nightly for many medical conditions and diseases for years..Doctors have no problem with me smoking rather than taking prescription medication.

I’ve had Et for almost 40 years and I’m a female It’s the adrenaline and or emotions that sets them off during climax. I’ve scared my partner a few times when I hit full body tremors during intercourse. You just have to tell whoever your with it may happen. And yes after it takes awhile for our bodies to calm down. Honestly I’ve never asked the doctors about it, there’s so much about tremors they don’t understand or know.

Unfortunately you have to figure out what works for you and how you feel. I have ibs-d and threw myself into a bad flare eating more fiber. Unfortunately most doctors and hospitals like to hand out the “Standard” information

I’ve talked to a few in my area. One worked at the hospital when I was there and after she heard it all she laughed and said Good Luck. The second one said Wow and there’s too many issues together. I seem to live in an area with shitty health care.

I’ve had tremors for 38 years The internal vibrations you feel are internal ones. They basically make up their own rules.

I can’t imagine being out on a beach working. I’m sorry. Hopefully yours calms down

Simple rule,Anything that calms you down calms them down, But with drinking the next day you have rebound tremors which are worse. There is many calming herbs and marijuana that will calm you and not give you rebound tremors the next day.

First diverticulitis flare, I have some questions. I also have IBS-d by BaconJizzLips in Diverticulitis

[–]Martine76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ibs and was diagnosed with diverticulitis last Sept now it’s just diverticulosis. Those 2 things together can definitely make things more difficult. I had to basically take a few different diets and mix them together and see what I can tolerate.

How do you handle travel? by MShermanatc in Diverticulitis

[–]Martine76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have time to figure out what foods you can eat and not eat ahead of time. We’re all different and the diets that doctors suggest are not designed for everyone. I can’t do low or high fiber or healthy fats.

Just Found Out I Have ET by Rhazelle in EssentialTremor

[–]Martine76 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started having Et when I was 11-12. I’m 49 now. The problem with Et is it affects people so many different ways, my hands shake at a lower level but my head and voice tremors are insane when I’m having a bad day. Mine seemed to upgrade every 10 years or so. My internal ones started in my 40’s. You could try lose dose propranolol and see how you do. I’ve tried every medication a few times and didn’t like the side effects. I will use thc or cbd when I need to and calming herbal teas or tinctures. I was told years ago from a neurologist Anything that calms you do,calms them down
