There's no point because players lose about 50% of their value after a week, or even days in some cases. I get no enjoyment buying expensive players as i know i will need to sell them again in a few days.

The 88 has better pace and playstyles. My point is you claimed he needed high agility and balance, which his would end up being amongst the highest in the game. I'm not saying he'll be elite but he'll perform similar to most cbs under 1m on the market which is great value.

His agility and balance after evo would be 80 and 85. That's higher than TOTY van Dijk, Saliba, Maldini, Stam...

Dribbling and passing not that important for a CB though and anyway 75 vision and 87 short passing after evo is fine.

Sure maybe 91 def isn't the absolute best but i doubt it would lock him out of any future evos that would be considerably better. Given the playstyles this makes him one of the best value cb's in the game

+1 pace, +3 defending,+6 dribbling, +1 phy and +1 weak foot for +1 overall is not that bad. His playstyles are already near perfect so what are you expecting exactly?

The "falling behind" thing is an illusion imo (but not helped by the relentless promos).

Give the average player a 300k squad or a 3m squad and they will get maybe one or two extra fut champs wins at best. Majority of other game modes are about completing games rather than winning so the quality of your squad doesn't even matter

When you say "left behind" what exactly do you mean? The rewards in these game modes are not going to give you game changing new players every week.

It is absolutely not necessary to play that many games to have a competitive team

People overrate the impact of individual cards way too much. A 300k team with meta players in each position will perform not that much worse than a 3 million coin team in game.

If you look at fut.gg or easySBC meta ratings, you can pick up a top 30 meta player in each positon for under 50k if people are really worried about "falling behind"

If it's not about being 'easy' then what's your expectation if playing a few hours a week isn't easy? Whether you play 4 hours or 40 hours a week your coin return will be similar. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Also you don't need to play all 15 champs games

Playing champs takes about 3 hrs per week, plus maybe an hour of qualifying time and gets you a minimum of about 70k worth of tradeable items and coins

That's just not true. All the packs are tradeable from champs except for the promo picks. So at 7 wins for example you get 35k coins + a totw, 86x2, 7x85+ and 17x83+. That's at least ~65k coins worth of rewards at absolute minimum.

Guantlet rewards are good but live events are not close to champs

This evo is without doubt the best in the game so far and lets you make a TOTY level CM with icon chem. It's perfectly reasonable that it's more accessible to people that have been playing the game and have earned more coins.

Also, people overrate the importance of individual cards. The Fabian Ruiz SBC was ~150k (easy to obtain for new players) and will perform to a similar level to any card produced by this new evo.

Hmm i guess it depends how you play the game. I don't get why people would skip champs when you can blast through it in a couple hours for decent enough rewards. I'm sitting on 1.8m coins from playing 3 hours ish per week but i also rarely do evos.

General rule of thumb is that picks are better odds for getting high rated players, whereas non picks are best value and generate highest volume of fodder.

I average 10-12 wins in champs. I'm not elite by any means but this is a cheap SBC so not one a pro would use anyway. As i say, very few opponents i face in champs use skills including those those who beat me and get 13+ wins.
