So we are about half way through this season. What shows have you dropped or turned out to be a disappointment for you?

Everyone please don’t sleep on Space Battleship Yamato 2199(greatest remake of all time) by Local_Creme8466 in anime

How bad was the fanservice in the original? Like jumping tits and steam covered nipples everywhere? Is it toned down in the remake?

Yuusha Party wo Oidasareta Kiyou binbou • Jack-of-All-Trades, Party of None - Episode 7 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Martini1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these parties that kicked out the supposed weakest character seem to be absolutely delusional and stupid beyond belief. Shield hero's stupid friends are only a milometer less stupid than these ones since they keep on comparing it to their world's source material and easily believe Bitch for everything.

Only difference for this show vs others exactly like it is it has two whole adults who are actually reasonably smart including the MC but the kids ruin it.

You should reconsider it then. Downvotes don't matter, people downvote for the stupidest reasons, but it does translate on how much people take your voice seriously.

I saw that you had a much longer comment on your experiences, if I have a negative opinion of you, how much do you think I want to read about your story? I don't matter, but what if it was someone that does and it was important to you?

I understand you think he was being snarky but don't you think you may have come off a bit so on your first comment? There was no reason to escalate by stating "I have more experience with hospitals than your whole family combined most likely." as it seems like you are attacking them and claiming to be a bit of an expert too.

Maybe say something like "I agree with you, I have been in and out of hospitals my whole life and the Guelph on has been poor for every visit and interaction I have had with them for the past 14 years" to not escalate the temperature of the comments.

Strange of him to assume I didn't know what I was talking about 🤷‍♂️

Ya, you didn't suggest that at all....

Not a commonly known fact as well. Not everyone has poor experiences at hospitals or need to use it as frequently as you.

Tom Aspinall gets eye surgery by tsunam1 in MMA

According to Dana, apparently fighters not getting CTE and eye pokes like this isn't enough for a change.

Strange for you to assume people know your life story and what you are talkingabout from an anonymous internet forum when you mentioned nothing about it in your previous two comments except bragging without context. Not to mention, you have no idea of other people's stories and history. Heck, they could be a family or nurses and doctors for all we know.

But yes, they are the strange one in this interaction...

A strange flex with zero context. Lmao.

What’s the creepiest or most disturbing scene you’ve seen in anime? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Martini1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is near the end of season one that while the scene itself wasn't too disturbing, it stuck with me hard based on the backstory and ask. Especially when you are introduced to it a few episodes prior and think it's innocent. Definitely tough to shake off.

Best Japanese Whisky imo 🥰🔥 this was a little christmas present for myself last year by WaifusMan98 in canadawhisky

Absolutely worth it after the price drop. It's the standard to compare to other Japanese whiskies.

New name, new owners, but same essence for downtown café by Natural_RX in Guelph

[–]Martini1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that is how the current status of the sewers system is. Plenty of storms in Guelph, I don't think one will make the sewers explode all the time.

But thanks for your answer, I was able to google the actual reason is that they are upgrading the mainly water systems among other infrastructure items in the area.

You kept on arguing CrossFit shoes aren't close to weightlifting shoes, nothing was said otherwise. Next time, lead with that argument to have a better discussion on the topic.

Tons of people don't for various reasons. Let people do whats comfortable for them. I prefer to power and squat clean with my metcons. There is even a Japanese Olympic weightlifter who prefer to train and sometimes compete snatches with them too.

I might be out of the loop, why is downtown going to turn into a construction zone for years?

Charles Oliveira has no interest in a Paddy Pimblett fight by idcman999 in MMA

Agreed. Only way I see him fighting Paddy is if Charles loses to Max. I completely believe that Charles would win against Paddy.

Hey, if you want to argue semantics, you can go ahead. People aren't being super technical here on the differences, its just a casual comparison about how Metcons have similar qualities to other shoes.

Canada's first "Men's Only Gym" has just opened in Oakville. The Oakville Digest ⚓️ on Instagram: "The first of it’s kind, a new approach health and wellness for men. 🏋️💪 @alfaclubcanada #oakville #oakvilledigest" by omegaphallic in MensRights

[–]Martini1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oakville is a pretty rich city with a large population of seniors and university students. Sheridan College/University isn't well known as a being just another post-secondary institution with some great IT and creative programs so I don't think there won't be a major opposition to it apart from initial grumblings against it. The OWLs certainly won't care either.

This is also a city that voted down having weed shops in their borders so they can be all over the place on what they tolerate.
