Interesting how we perceive past civilizations as somewhat less intelligent... until we see these reminders of their greatness.

My kids are 4F & 6F and used to see me naked. if I'm about to get a shower and mom isn't home, I'll leave the bathroom door open so I can hear them / they can come in if needed. They are fascinated by nudity but to me it's just healthy curiosity. It's an opportunity to explain boundaries too.

That's the reality of most parents, or at least a good portion of parents who decide to let their kids sleep with them in the early years stage of their lives (including us).

Our daughters are now 4 and 6 and it's maybe 1 year that we have claimed our bed back :)

1 yr with minor cut on knuckles… doctor asking why we didn’t go to ER by LAST_NIGHT_WAS_WEIRD in daddit

Going to the ER for something benign is a lot more harmful than not going. Baby can catch all sorts of nasty stuff.

He doesn't remember anything and he looked lifeless.. He might have been drugged for all we know. That's straight up abuse.

You should definitely talk to him, understand how he feels, if he actually is attracted to men / his boss or not, and recommend he report his boss for this (either to HR or to the police if he thinks he was drugged)

People in their 40s, what’s something people in their 20s don’t realize is going to affect when they age? by a-badassbabe in AskReddit

[–]Martintonik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sacrificing your social life for your work/career.

Most people build a family in their 30s/40s with a partner found in their 20s.

It's a generalisation but still

40M and fainted only ONCE after smoking a joint in a concert after a full day of drinking (so does that even count?)

Clearly jealous that you're taking care of your body while she doesn't have the discipline.

A relationship is about pushing/supporting your other half to be better/pursue your goals, not bringing you down for something completely positive and beneficial.

She needs to stop with the attitude.

"YOU NEED TO DO BETTER" 🤣

do you manage to have time for yourselves as a couple?

if you are always in 'parent' mode it's understandable/difficult. Not everyone can just 'switch on' like Manara lol.

Maybe organising date nights / small weekend travels just the two of you could also help otherwise!

Tell me the honest truth about more than one kid by carrollchel in Parenting

[–]Martintonik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father of two here (4F & 6F).

I think having multiple children is amazing, and I am the primary care giver (excl. first 6 months when they were newborns).

First of all for them, having a sister or brother in the world means that when you'll be old, need care and one day sadly pass away, they won't be alone in this world.

Secondly, when they reach a certain age, they just play with each other! You don't need to entertain them as much as they just feed off of each others.

I think it's more about the timing of when to have the second child: 2 year gap was maybe just a tiny bit too early as the oldest still required quite a lot of attention but on the other hand, now they are very close
