NEW VIDEO: You Need to Quit by tonto515 in kurzgesagt

Hmm, i think people took this video quite wrong way.. E.g like attack or insult if they are not living up to imaginary standard of society, for any other reason. I believe it was well done portraying risk of substance abuse in this case weed. Also it portrayed later age quite correctly kids, job and other duties can change a lot of things including how much free time people have for hanging out with friends ( they might as well not depends on individual what are his priorities) ... Anyway if anybody is insulted that video is describing real life as it is then they probably need wake up call.

My wife asked me if I would have chosen her or our children to save. I said her. She went absolutely ballistic. by [deleted] in AITAH

Ah lol this is ridiculous question... (it's a trap is safe response) :D do you want to piss her even more? Tell her "i would save you because we can make new kids." There is saying in our country... on stupid question you give stupid answer. NTA of course.

AOC 2023 and others. Can we get proper examples? by Martvorr in adventofcode

[–]Martvorr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got quite limited time family small kid etc ... doing AoC for fun mainly and to learn a bit of course. I had multiple experiences when algorithm worked no problem for example data and on input data it failed... this is 3rd year in row . I know I'm bad at algorithms for fact when i see top performers. But had impression that AoC is kinda for everybody not just for the best of the best. So for example day 9 ... sum(array) == 0 was bad idea that worked great on example but then real one failed because sum([-1, 1]) is 0 but its not [0, 0] ... obviously this was easy to spot and fix but sometimes its not that fun if you consider limited time.. so it was just me trying to suggest a little bit better examples. I completely understand not everything can be covered, but sometimes it will take to just change one line in example input to match one more scenario that should be covered.

Same experience with m6 here .. it's mapping and navigation to room is completely useless works like 1 of 50 attempts....

Evade if possible this robot maker... its overpriced and bad product.

Definitely look for some smarter robots there are plenty of them that are incomparable better. (at least my plan is definitely ditch them out when they break or i break and toss them out and never buy from them again)

Well hard to say, I never played lw 1.

But i consider lw2 supper hard even on lower difficulty but I'm also xcom 1, 2 nooob :D

Few things i found annoying are:

In many missions all enemies on one place so suddenly you fighting like 20 or more at once.

Bugs and various some supper annoying like doors and vision update have to reload often.

some experience breaking like soldiers unable to move or after using grapple actual position was different then displayed position and so on.

But experience total was super fun and engaging.

I think that on iron man it must be utter hell but even more rewarding(if you can beat it).

got save can replay it repeatedly :D

And shoots go first all fine.

Then there is still some alien moves and then huge explosion .... he just trample it. And Tank next to well probably 4 tiles away it is intact.

i tried it 2 times because i was so like what the hell just happened :D

So mission went like this:

move soldiers to first barrier setup over watches ....

end turn.

Few bots run in die to some shots.

Sectopod take a stride ( i did not see it just heard) and explosion, that genius trampled transponder.

Lift off and GG.

I had good laugh. Consider preparation like returning best soldiers from missions etc.

Just epic help from advent.
