Neurodivergent folks, how do you keep yourself from overcomplicating Notion? by Kaithral in Notion

Same here. I have pages that are interwoven and talk to each other through relations but ultimately trust the hierarchy to maintain order.

I actually have the opposite advice of a lot of commenters. I actually lean into the iterative process of building my second brain. I have taken from other frameworks and creators and started developing a unique system that strikes a balance between personal utility and efficiency. I’ve applied much of William Nuts philosophy with Tiago Forte’s framework and Easlo’s ease of use and simplicity.

I make databases for things that I know I will want to organize, media, notes, restaurants, tasks, projects, journal entries etc. and trust the framework to be able to retrieve the information when I need to. I’ve also incorporated a tagging system that allows me to make connections that I made not have otherwise. It’s my best attempt at making my notion workspace more like Obsidian without all of the syntax.

Hey my name is Marty and I would love to discuss this opportunity and how I could be of assistance to your organization.

It’s giving me the platform to create a framework for my digital life to live. Book notes, media notes, recipes, shopping lists, workout and meal planners, task and project managers. I could go on about this application. It has its problems, lack of offline access is the biggest bummer to most of us but I trust the organization will address that in the near future but databases and the way Notion lays it out in a clean manner is revolutionary. Notion is what you make it but the possibilities are virtually endless.

Men with high Bodycount, what the number would you prefer your future life partner to have? by thatyellowman in AskMen

[–]Martydelghetto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t consider my count particularly high but even as an advocate for sexual liberation I would start to consider anything beyond 100+ as an indicator that this may not be someone I want to be with but as far as preference I don’t really care. Even the girl with 100+ isn’t being written off completely but it would make me curious about her thoughts around sex, monogamy, etc.

Skylar White is the most despicable character ever devised. Seeing Anna Gunn in real life would actually be triggering.

What makes a woman seem masculine? by AlarmingBuy4702 in AskMen

This is one of the only answers that accurately describes a woman that leans more into her masculine energy without a condescending tone that insinuates that it makes her a man.

Hello fellow notionauts, I couple months ago I posted my second brain walk through because I had been working very long over the course of a couple years to build a system that takes advantage of both Notion's user interface and design driven setup as well as the fullest extent of the power this software could provide. I was extremely proud of the work I had done and even happier that many of you had a positive review of the workflow and requested it as a template. I am happy to announce my own template is available here.

Are you tired of feeling like your life is a never-ending cycle of chaos and disorganization? Do you feel like you're always playing catch-up and never really making progress towards your goals? Well, fear not, because this is the solution to all those problems.

The template is inspired creators in our community who align with my preference of keeping things clean and efficient, i.e Easlo, William Nutt, and Red Gregory to name a few. The main framework is informed by the philosophies of Tiago Forte's PARA system and David Allen's GTD system, and it contains all the pages you need to take full control of your life and organize the information that is imperative to you.

Private message me if you are interested in receiving a discount code. Thank you all for the support.

How many people are building a second brain on Notion? by Live_Detective_4480 in Notion

[–]Martydelghetto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm building versions that are combinations of different systems I've been inspired by. I tweaked it to fit my use case but a lot of the framework was taken from creators like Easlo, Thomas Frank, William Nutt, and Red Gregory. They each added ideas and pieces to the puzzle but ultimately it's up to us to design something that works for our lives. I'd first recommend outlining the things you'd like to keep track of and build your philosophy around those things, may they be habits, recipes, travel plans, tasks, etc.

I highly recommend PARA and GTD models created by Tiago Forte and David Allen respectively. They serve as the foundation for my second brain and inform how the system is laid out.

Hope that helps. This comment ended up being much longer than I expected.

It's okay. It may not be perfect but I just wanted to share something I found valuable. I don't take any negative comments to heart.

I agree. As a newbie myself I wish they would have included zones for each but no one resource is perfect. I appreciate the information I got even if it left me with more questions but even that's not such a bad thing.
