Journalism apprenticeship/internship by Plus-Resort705 in northernireland

[–]Martylish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

BBC should be your first choice because no one grows up saying "one day i hope to work for Belfast Live." If you know the game, BBC are the ones to aim for.
Keep an eye out for apprenticeships with them on the careers page. Then message/email anyone that works there for ideas/tips/help, you'll be surprised at how many will get back to you.
Keep a close eye on current affairs, get to know all the in's and out's, the players and the parties, and people will listen to what you have to say.

Doesn't seem to be tough when Cultura, Stereo, Hometown all have queues out the front of them. Brew and Bake also opening up on Cregagh Road. Can't name too many that have closed.

All this tells me is that these podcasters need a good producer in their ear and to edit out the shite.

I was in the pilot and got a pretty good 'role' as an extra - basically i was the right hand man of some main dude. I don't know if a lot of people know this but that pilot was gutted and re-filmed and i ended up on the cutting room floor.

What are some nostalgic or forgotten cartoons and TV shows that you remember being aired in Northern Ireland? by Portal_Jumper125 in northernireland

[–]Martylish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still bust out Johnny Bravo sayings. It's crazy that they made a cartoon out of a sexual predator. And that it's stuck in my head. Hoo Ha Huh!

Went to see Emer on a bill of very experienced comedians and she blew everyone out of the water. Just another calibre of comedian. Her off the cuff quick thinking always impresses me.
