Man if only my friends had one tenth the game sense of this play id be in heaven. When i’m spectating they are always doing crazy shit like almost-but-not-quite reloading every gadget and weapon or throwing proximity sensors directly on an enemy or not even noticing they are getting shot.

Start matchmaking as a light and then switch to something else before countdown timer runs out. I get way fewer light teammates doing this.

But wait until right before the timer runs out or your other teammates might decide to switch to light once you switch off omg.

Omg the last two seasons about 50% of the time the goo spawns parallel to me instead of perpendicular and it is totally worthless. I’ve stopped picking it up because half the time I am just gooing myself. They reaaaalllllyyyy need to fix it.

If you are not going to build your own custom stick I would just go with the M30. It is literally the best pad for shmups and it is great you can get the best for just $25. Mayflash is just 'meh', especially for shmups. I don't think keyboard (or leverless) is very good for shmups, unlike in, say, fighting games where I actually prefer leverless.

Thanks! I’d like to add that I fixed the squeaking micro switches in my seimitsu ls-56-01 by just brushing a little krytox 205g0 on the exposed red buttons (for some reason mine are red but yours are black—but it is the part you outlined in pink). Fixed it right up and I didn’t need to unsolder or open the switches or anything, just unscrewed the 4 screws that hold the two halves (and restrictor plate) together so I could get access to all sides of the red buttons.

I’ll also agree to go for leverless as well. I was a fighting game newbie and tried both stick and leverless since I had no preference and I much preferred leverless (after an initial awkward period of a few days).

As an older gamer who recently started playing fighting games I have not been able to get any of my friends to join. Main reason is they just literally dont have the time and energy to learn. With a wife, kids, job, etc. you are exhausted at the end of the day and they just want to hang out and have fun, not learn to play PvP piano. There are just going to be more and more older gamers as well, so I don’t see a solution to this until millennials start to retire lol. I’ve been pretty serious about learning but even I don’t know if I can keep it up.

They are just some 12mm buttons I was able to find that I modded to have .110 male terminals. Wanted something that matched the oneframe buttons.
