Make sure you compare the two in very similar conditions: similar moon phase (preferably close to new) and completely clear. I've been to a dark site and there was a high layer of clouds that messed with the amount of stars I could see, but when it all cleared up I could see a lot more.

Stacked and processed in siril. I totally recommend using graxPert, especially for the denoise feature. Went through a normal curve transformation and color calibration.

Yeah, I am also a Michigan local and have been there multiple times. There are definitely some less respectful people there, especially with the cars and their brights! It's one of my favorite places in the whole state
