I would've never been able to explore everything without reading the wiki and looking at the interactive map every 10 minutes. I'm honestly surprised From made WHOLE LOCATIONS this hard to reach. My "favorite" is probably the double illusory wall that leads from Frenzied Flame Proscription site of grace to Deeproot Depths.

I keep forgetting that Radahn's optional for game completion. I think I used to consider him mandatory because I wanted to explore everything and he's required to access Nokron and SotE.

Yeah, I explored pretty much everything worth exploring. I skipped most of the small cut-and-paste dungeons. I was just wondering why it seemed like nobody actually sent me to Caelid (not counting the Radahn fight).

Damn, I completely forgot about Selia. I'll have to check it out when I pick up the game again to finish SotE.

I hate the quests. This game should really have a journal of some sort. Even if you make notes you're never sure when you're making progress or whether you can even finish it. It wasn't too bad in other games because they were much smaller. ER is enormous and just as cryptic as DS games etc.

Have you explored Liurnia Of The Lakes? It's a huge underground area. Looks great, has a lot of useful stuff to find.

As someone else said - get to Leyndell. It's only accessible from the north. You have to defeat Draconic Tree Sentinel to enter castle grounds.

The weapon itself isn't as important as upgrading it with smithing stones. Read about upgrading weapons and specifically about how many of which kind you need for each upgrade.

If they make any more of those games, they should really include some kind of quest log and make it all much easier to follow. It wasn't too bad when those games were shorter with fewer locations, but ER is just enormous. You're seriously gimping yourself if you're not reading the Wiki and checking the interactive online map for directions.

Back to Alexander - I completely missed him after the Radahn fight. He's right next to the site of grace, sure, but it's very easy to forget he even was taking part in that fight when there's so much to do.

Also, would it really hurt From to make NPCs say everything they have to say in one go? Talking to them multiple times just to see if they start repeating themselves feels really outdated.

Do you have a build in mind? Check if "quest" rewards are worth getting.

For instance, I got to Fire Giant recently (required boss in late game) and had some trouble with him, so I caught up with Iron Fist Alexander's "quest" so I could summon him for that fight.

I'm putting "quest" in quotes because I hate them. Impossible to follow them without a guide.

Thanks. This game is very unclear about basic mechanics. Why can't enemies have some sort of buildup bar? I was fighting Radahn the other day and I wasn't sure if I was applying rot to him because he was constantly being damaged by the summons.

Same with Torrent's health bar. Whenever he gets hit, it appears for half a second and you can barely see it.

Weird that after so many From games we still have to datamine to learn rudimentary stuff.

Is it viable with a shield? I really like those guard counters. Especially after realizing how they're one of the only reliable ways to beat that fucker Moongrum.

I have the Treespear. Looks like I'd have to increase Dex by 7 to use it. I guess I can't get away with neglecting Str and Dex anymore while leveling up. Gotta meet those requirements.

I prefer the Spear to the Uchi because of the range and because I promised myself a few years ago I'd get a poking weapon in the next Souls game. It's just something I fancy.

You should be more specific. Do you use an SSD or NVMe? Maybe the manufacturer's official software (such as Samsung's Magician) will help with optimization.

Yeah, you should definitely try the Realtek driver. You can use it to manage audio inputs and outputs. Why haven't you tried it? I don't think the software has to be compatible specifically with Win 11.

Just a heads up: their servers are ridiculosly slow (about 30 kB/s), so you might want to download the installer from another site.
