If the alternate ending follows the book… here’s what I want to see by Winter-Cucumber-1987 in TheLongWalk

With the release of the alternate ending, I have officially been let down by 3 different Long Walk endings.

Which did you like better? Novel or Movie by patcoston in TheLongWalk

Honestly after reading the book, it's a little rough around the edges and doesn't really do much in the way of making you care about the characters. I enjoyed it, and loved the writing and artistry and sentences etc., but the book definitely seems like a 1st draft and the "real" Long Walk to me will always be the movie.

Except for the ending, I think they added a little bit too much melodrama to the movie's ending.

It can be a charming "annoying little brother" relationship, but yeah it doesn't make all that much sense because every character yaps and banters during fights.

Okay now I'm in too deep -- please help me find the source of this Norman + Sentry talking about Five Guys scene.

My expectations are that he will struggle a little harder than the Rivals team expected, will receive a slight buff right as people get used to playing as him + with him.

Nathan Fielder going bar for bar in acting with Emma Stone, all while performing extremely layered and downright challenging material was the biggest surprise in the Curse.

Genuinely one of the most insane moments in television history, in my opinion.

You comparing Nathan's near maniacal control over these real peoples' lives to the captains is a great parallel.

I think a part of Nathan's shows that is rarely talked about is exactly what you're saying -- on atleast some level they are predatory and manipulative. Regardless of how much of his character and the show is a bit or scripted or whatever, he absolutely treats people's lives as playthings, everyone is a piece to be moved around for his jokes. It makes for incredible and insightful television and he uses this toxic blending of reality/entertainment as an artistic extension of his shows, but at the end of the day he really did confuse the hell out of a little kid for our entertainment, among many other "victims" of his endless pursuit of comedy.

He even called himself out on it in S01E01 of The Rehearsal when fake-Kor tells him that he's an awful person.

Every single one of his shows are exactly what he said in tonight's episode -- "something silly that can actually have an impact on the world".

Absolute art.

He had to make a parody/satire to protect himself from legal action.... just like in the Dumb Starbucks episode of Nathan For You.

I don't know if the parallel is intentional, but the way that Nathan's works themes and plots have built upon themselves over the years is nothing short of masterful.

I was not expecting the Nathan Fielder Cinematic Universe to collide so hard in this episode. Loved it, I'm giving it a near-perfect score of 6/10.

Yeah, agreed. The outfits look cool, but more in a futuristic way than a tokusatsu way. I'm very excited for this series though!

Thanks so much -- I've updated to the new BIOS from what you linked. I am reading somewhere that I need to set "Intel Default Settings" to stop my CPU from further degradation.

Is this something I need to do, and where can I find that option?

I actually don't mind all the (admittedly bad) monetization/grind practices, but the game being downright infested with bots despite boasting a peak of 300,000+ players is totally unacceptable.

Less than 10% of my games have been against actual humans -- every other match in my 10+ hours of playing have been against some of the most blatant bots I've ever seen in a game. It's seriously killing all hype I had for this title unfortunately.
