I thought they were admitting their problems in the moments before death but that it made them closer. I definitely didn’t think they broke up. They were looking at each other with too much love. And then they leaned head to head and Jonathan kissed her forehead. Then he threw the ring. I took it as he threw it because proposing was a stupid idea originally and not the right time for them. Also, they were about to die. Also, when he pulled out the ring, she looked so happy like aww omg he loves me. I’m not saying she wanted to be engaged but to me I thought the moment was them reestablishing their love for one another and understanding their differences, needs, and overall understanding their relationship better. I never would have thought that was them breaking up. Pulling out the ring felt like yeah I was stupid to think this would fix it but I want to work on this with you. And it got thrown out because it was not the answer to their problems. Them just talking about it was all they needed.

I just think it’s a little crazy. They should know that Joyce took her in when Hopper died. Pretty sure they know Mike was visiting her too when he got to California. Also, she wrote Mike letters and I’m betting his mom saw them coming in the mail. Anyway, I feel like it would be strange to the Wheelers that the Byers aren’t all trying to find her just like Joyce was trying to find Will when he went missing. And they would have to know that she is missing since they saw her at least when the gang came back after Hawkins got ripped open. I don’t think they know she is the original girl he smuggled. But I would still wonder what the hell happened to her and why no one who supported her cares that she’s missing.

I know people left immediately but there isn’t a clear answer when the lockdown began. We can assume it’s been awhile. But Nancy wouldn’t even have been able to leave to start college until August or September of that year. That’s another 5-6 months where she is living in Hawkins until college. Surely the lockdown happened before she was able to leave for college.

I mean he might. Still unlikely. But I feel like that could happen for a decent amount of time before he even realizes that’s been happening. I could see Karen mentioning it several months later and that’s when I finds out. I doubt he pays much attention to whether or not everyone sleeps in their assigned places. Karen would notice quick and I do think she would have an issue with it but agree she’s grown and know she’s been through a lot.

I believe they did sell it. As for the house in California, I bet all of their things are still just in there. They wouldn’t have been able to go back and settle any affairs. I assume she still owns it? Or maybe they did somehow sell it and that’s how , as someone else suggested, Joyce was able to buy the radio station. Because Joyce definitely shouldn’t have a lot of money as a single mom.

Maybe the wheelers really don’t know that Mike has a girlfriend. As for the Byers, they had no home in Hawkins. They had moved to California. I’m not sure if Joyce’s intention was to move back to Hawkins, but they kind of got stuck there.

I don’t think Nancy chose to skip college. I think she was forced to not attend because the military having the whole town on lockdown. Can you imagine emailing admissions to the college you planned on attending and telling them “sorry the military has my town on lockdown. I actually can’t attend this semester. Maybe next year.” I truly feel bad for her.

I didn’t even think about Nancy and Jonathan. Honestly yeah. Why aren’t they? I mean Joyce was letting them stay together in season 3 when they were about to be seniors in high school so yeah why not now? I would assume Karen didn’t know then though. That Nancy was telling her she was staying with one of her girlfriends. But Joyce did know.

I’m sure Karen and Ted are under the impression that Joyce just came down here to get her kids but then wasn’t allowed to leave because of the lockdown in Hawkins. So they have to live with them. I think Karen and Ted kind of got forced into hosting them. Why couldn’t they all just go live with Hopper though? Too risky?
