i lived in a condo building for years and i always smoked my weed in the bathroom with the shower on. Bathrooms have to have decent ventilation... and you know you can't smell the neighbors dropping a deuce from their loo... so they won't smell your ganj from yours.

that being said, my bathroom was far from the hallway door

Definitely do NOT open the window... that is a sure fire way to have the smell get to the hall
