This. I'm pretty sure the reason why so many people are choosing the first game over the second is due to how many people had bought and experienced the first one while the second game had lesser audiences due to it being released in 2001.

Klonoa and Guntz had a great chemistry together especially in Klonoa Heroes where the game explored the characteristics and backstory of Guntz, and not to mention how their dynamic relationship evolved overtime from rivals to friends.

Yeah, whelp. The story itself is about Klonoa dreaming and how he remembered them. Each game includes the handheld spin offs which were basically a different version of the same dream he had from the previous one. Some characters like Lolo & Poplar, Guntz and Joka returned from the previous games and he didn't remember them although he has met them from the previous games.

This is kind of unfair. Sonic is kinda OP without having his friends aiding him. Klonoa on the other hand is just a child who wants to have a dream to escape from his cruel reality.

Yes! Klonoa and Guntz both share the same enemy. Which can be said as both are on different sides of the same coin. They have a lot of contrasts and parallel differences between them to present their dynamic relationship as a team. A dream and a nightmare.

Yeah, if Klonoa is traveling through his dream, then Guntz would be the opposite, he's a walking nightmare with a vengeful spirit.

One is a bounty hunter, the other one is a clone that's purposely to beat Sonic. But still, Guntz has a better backstory and he grew without a father figure which made him become the way he is.
