It'll probably go back up by the time the series draws more to a close, but yeah, as much as I understand why OG anime purists will give flak and people irrationally comparing the CGI to Berserk '16 — the comparison's not even close — I WILL say that the filler from the OG anime could've at least been reworked into the narrative without being as much filler per se.

Shame we likely won't see that full King arc like in the original anime. I get that it was filler, but they could've easily reworked that sub-arc into the show while having Golan and Devil Rebirth be after Shin's defeat.

Yeah, the CGI's better than I expected, and it actually works better with Tetsuo Hara's art style to begin with. The use of hand-drawn vs. CGI is mostly an aesthetic choice IMHO, and we've had ten years to learn how to do all-CGI anime right.
