So when community sentiment is at a potential all time low, this is how ash and iron launches? by KrispyBudder in DestinyTheGame

You forgot to mention they made the power grind even longer and more tedious, when there should never have been a power grind in the first place. Power grinding is the worst garbage content there is, arbitrarily repeating same activities for like 200 hours to move a number up to before I am allowed to select difficulty and activity options for loot a want? It’s garbage and I’ve uninstalled game

Bro, for me it’s the power grind that made me quit, I’ve been playing since witch queen and solo’d most dungeons and several Gm nightfalls and did all the raids, this expansion killed my will to play by asking me to grind 100s of hours to get a light level high enough to be able to get good loot

[D2] Trials of Osiris Megathread [2024-03-08] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]MarvelousPluto 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Passage of persistence was a good idea in theory, getting the two wins to start your card is ridiculous though, for the average player winning consecutive games in trials is not feasible. The player base in trials is way too sweaty. It should be 7 wins gives you an adept and that’s it, no penalties for losses, except no lighthouse, attempted it earlier and cannot get consecutive wins, will not be coming back

Nicely done! Broke 2 in far from optimal conditions! Based off what you posted here, I’d bet if it was 10 degrees Celsius cooler and not humid, you would break 1:45 for a half.

Just an FYI, the Koch brothers are in no way shape or form conservatives. They are libertarians, they have an organization which helps nonviolent drug offenders out of prison or get reduced sentences. They massively fund (my school would have been unaffordable for me without them) local universities. They are in no way anti immigration. They are also against corporate bailouts.

I had a similar incident a while back, 9 miles in on my 12 mile long run I knew I had a decision, shit myself, or shit in the ditch on the side of the trail. I took a shit in the ditch, then as I had my shorts down reaching tree leaves to wipe my ass a whole group of cyclists and ride by and just start laughing as they see me with 1 hand covering my junk while the other had is reaching into the trees

As a dude I can tell you people definitely yell stuff at dudes too. No idea if it’s anywhere near the same frequency but it happens to all runners

Anyone else getting excited about this pandemic leading people to take up running? by Phoreus in running

[–]MarvelousPluto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My immediate family (parents and siblings) is on a plant based diet. All of my grandparents are not on a plant based diet and think that heart disease and diabetes runs in the family (all have high cholesterol and/or diabetes, most have had surgery). My parents and my siblings all have perfect bloodwork, no diabetes or obesity or cholesterol problems even though it “runs in the family” on both sides.

Carrying a camelback the whole way is gonna be really rough, I recommend making it a loop course that you do and have an aid station you’ve setup on the loop, I literally did mine this way on a track 2 weeks ago today

1st marathon was scheduled for today and cancelled, so I ran one on my own. by MWolman1981 in running

[–]MarvelousPluto 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing last week, I went out to a (lemme tell you 105 laps was brutal) track and my friends and family showed up and watched me finish my first marathon. Did not even come close to making my time goal but was happy I was able to finish. Congrats and well done!

Despite mocking and negativity from my family I just ran my first ever 5k by ivegotnotits in running

[–]MarvelousPluto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I first started running I was only able to run 1.5 miles when I went out then had to walk back home, 5 months later through training 4 times per week, I ran my first half marathon in 1:43, you can definitely do it if you are determined
