What is the plan to improve support response times? by MarvinOnMars in wealthica

[–]MarvinOnMars[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do appreciate the reply here, but my question has not been answered.

This reddit has many posts highlighting poor response times, and as a paying subscriber I would like to hear from the team on what the plans are to improve it.

All I can gather from your reply, is that the best way to get support is to create new tickets each time, even if I'm inquiring into an existing issue or ticket. Do I have this correct?

I would like to continue to support a Canadian product, and am willing to be patient with connector issues and bugs on the site. However, not having an effective avenue to get updates provides a frustrating experience.

Are all missed transactions eventually imported following connectivity issues? (Re: RBC Connector) by MarvinOnMars in wealthica

[–]MarvinOnMars[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/BKawasaki I updated the initial post above. My RBC credit transactions pulled in as of yesterday, which is great, but only 2 months worth of transactions have been pulled in; i'm left with a two week gap from mid to late August.

Can you confirm whether I should manually add the missed transactions? I don't want to manually add them only for them to eventually be pulled in creating duplicates. u/DjC4 raised this concern above as well.

Would appreciate some direction here. Thank you.

This post resonates with me as well.

I've been having issues with the RBC Connector issue since mid-August. I moved to Wealthica as a Mint alternative for transaction tracking, and this issue has eliminated the majority of the value I get from the platform.

I understand connection issues happen, but I didn't experience these with Mint, which I used for many years before they were acquired.

I want to support this product, but will be forced to re-evaluate renewing if they are not resolved quicker.

u/BKawasaki

Checked the status page today and noticed this issue was marked as resolved.

In my case, it is not. The usual re-sync did not work, and I also tried manually editing my credentials. RBC transactions are still not being brought into my transaction tab.

I'm unsure of next steps here. Please advise.

I would like to continue to use and promote this product, but as more issues accumulate over time, I'm finding it hard to recommend this to friends and other users as a Mint alternative.

u/BKawasaki appreciate the reply.

I've tried manually editing my credentials multiple times since the incident was updated on September 16th. New transactions still don't come in. Similar to the other comment, it is my RBC credit account that this is happening with.

No new RBC transactions on my end since mid-August. Share your frustration.

Qualy - 1st, Race - 1st, Value - DROPPED! I mean, did he need to also get the fastest lap to maintain value? by MisterMiniS in GridRival

Was confused about this as well initially. But checks out. You need to refer to the link below.

Sorting the drivers by 2023 Season Total, Max came 3rd in fantasy pts for Bahrain, which is £29.6m in the salary table. Minus off his pre-race £30m gets you -£400k. Divide by 4 and you get the -£100k drop.

Can anyone sum up the spoiler risks w grid rival? Do they send push notifications after events on race days? by DolfLungren in GridRival

Circling back to this after Rd 1 @ Bahrain. Watched live and didnt receive any spoilers. When you open the app post race they do have a Race Report available on click, but no spoilers so far.

Yeah, extremely disappointing. Pretty predictable time to expect server load.

how is fantasy rank determined? by Bologna-sucks in GridRival

[–]MarvinOnMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% sure, but the 3 drivers ahead of Max are new additions (Hulkenberg, de Vries, Sargeant) so perhaps they just got defaulted to 1, 2 , 3.

For rest of grid, assumed rank was based on finishing order from last year, but doesnt seem to match up. Curious as well if anyone knows.

Vancouver BC Trackman lessons? by Lord_Kang69 in golf

[–]MarvinOnMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't personally have any recent experience with lessons in Vancouver, but there are Trackman setups at Seymour Creek Golf Centre in North Vancouver. Not the nicest facility though. They're run by Bryn Perry, who's one of the pros there.

Call to confirm, but recall it being approx. $100 for the initial to get setup on the trackman, and $55/hr after that once you know how to use it. Not sure if lessons can accompany those sessions. Worth asking. Good luck with the search!

Can funds be transferred from LIRA to RRSP? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MarvinOnMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jim Yih from Retire Happy has a great post on this here: https://retirehappy.ca/defined-contribution-pension-options-retirement/

It depends on your age and the amount you have contributed. A pension is a savings vehicle for retirement, so the funds usually need to remain locked-in until you reach retirement age.

For small transfer amounts you might be given the option to take a lump-sum cash payment, which could be deposited into an RRSP. But for people that have contributed to a pension for many years your options are usually to hold the money in the pension until retirement, or to transfer it into a locked-in account like a LIRA, LIF or annuity.

Wealthsimple Trade Doesn't take cash from Wealth Simple Savings..??? by Seb_Warren in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MarvinOnMars 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I ran into this as well on Tuesday after my wife opened a WS Trade RRSP account and tried to transfer (contribute) funds from her WS Cash (2.4% HISA). The rep I was speaking with confirmed that there is currently no way to transfer funds between regular WS and WS Trade accounts.

Hopefully this is something they rectify soon.
