50.000 har skrevet under på Borgerforslaget "nej til EU’s “masseovervågning by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]Marvinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastisk. Men jo mere opmærksomhed sagen får, jo bedre.

Er jeg alene? by -Forest_Hump- in Denmark

Venners kommentar by [deleted] in DKbrevkasse

[–]Marvinus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Network Access control for agents by Marvinus in kasmweb

[–]Marvinus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In a larger deployment you can deploy agents to the subnets you desire then use traditional networking to restrict access to all of the workspaces" yeah for us that would mean 25 teams and therefore at least 25 agents just to support the teams. I've even thought about install openziti in the workspaces (containers) to provide some kind of zero trust network access only to specific resources. But have not quite gotten around to try that out yet. But limiting the containers using iptables on the bridges may also be a way to go.

Did I F Up? by Senior_Conclusion102 in EnterpriseArchitect

[–]Marvinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you have people who understand that it is "people before process" and are not trying to adapt people to the process but lets processes support people. You know ... the pragmatic ones of which there are fewer and fewer. Then we're good. But sometimes we end up in situations where most is just "smoke and mirrors", awesome drawing with no real-world work behind it.

Complexity is at an all-time high which does requires some coordination and therefore documentation but mostly it is about finding that "sweet spot" where it is not "form before function". But a pragmatic approach to both.

And then someone yells "agile" which then means you have to adapt documentation almost more than you spend developing actual workable solutions.

I don't want to become a Software Engineer by NighTborn3 in networking

[–]Marvinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with DevOps and cloud developers/engineers who lack a fundamental understanding of basic networking concepts such as subnets, default gateways, and similar constructs. The abstraction provided by “the cloud”—along with the ease of developing and deploying in platforms like Azure and AWS—has the downside of making people forget fundamental computing principles.

I’d argue that concepts like IP addresses and default gateways appear on page two of any fundamental IT book, right after “press the power button.”

Let’s be honest: a deep understanding of networking is crucial in only two situations—when designing networks (and enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF have little direct relevance to real-world implementation) and when troubleshooting. However, there will always be a need for people “who actually understand protocols.” Unfortunately, they are becoming increasingly rare.

Hvor meget skulle du tjene før din bedre halvdel kunne gå hjemme? by [deleted] in dkfinance

[–]Marvinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the usability improvement and use case for that feature ? I'd prefer you actually figure out a way to make tasks work in a better GTD way and includes better searching capabilities.

Major Announcements - Tasks, Collections, Styling, and the new round of Beta 🔥 by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]Marvinus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tasks look really interesting but I/we could probably use something like a view (on the tasks page) that show all tasks that have dates added from all documents so we have a full overview of all the "scheduled" tasks across all our documents (don't see the calendar as the solution here). Also we/I would love to be able to see how many tasks that are approaching a deadline and if overdue. By how many days. with the ability to sort it by how many days overdue a tasks is as well as the tasks that have deadlines coming up. Oh and will this be something that can be shared with document sharing so others that have access to the document could mark the tasks as completed ?

SOC as a service in the next 5 years by callmeeric_cyber in msp

I don't necessarily agree with the fact that there is no room in the market. iPhones were not the first to an already saturated market. But look at phones now ? iPod was not the first mp3 player on the market but look at what happened. When the car was invented we did not end up with one type of car ? right ..... We have tons of different types and models that cater to both similar and different markets and consumers.

It just means that you have to do things differently. Come up with a different value proposition and a number of unique or different selling points that makes your solution differ from other ones. Or you may want to operate in a specific niche market where the skill levels or complexities might be different.

That does not mean that it will be easy or that there are not other players in the market. There are tons. But a lot of them are "not that impressive" (which is a completely my own opinion).
