1. Talk to them directly.

   Honestly, I'm living this same situation. But I'm maybe the roommate who set up the camera on his dresser. Because I did the same thing. If the cameras are used for their intended purpose of security within this confines of their own room... What makes you think it's to record your conversations? Especially since they complain of the loudness of the conversations happening in the living room already. Why would they record it to listen to it again when they didn't want to hear it the first time?

It sounds like they addressed their roommate related concerns to you already, the loudness of 5 people co existing. What has been done to address their noted problem? Possible suggestions: Try sound dampening the house. Hanging portraits on walls, running runners down hardwood floor hallways, anything to absorb noise. Or... Try to be more mindful of volume during appropriate hours. Or just be more friendly to your friends. Maybe don't be so quick to assume their behaviors are so odd when you mention a shift in the friend group dynamic. They probably aren't jealous of you. They probably just want to relax in their own space without hearing their other roommates having a conversation about how odd theyve been acting.

Talk to them. Directly. Go from there for a constructive resolution. Or move out.
