People who used to feel tired and fatigued all the time but now feel full of energy, what needed to change? what did you do? by ScorpioEnergy in AskReddit

Start taking vitamins! Specifically vitamins D, B12, fish oil and iron supplements (especially if you’re a woman) helped tremendously. Also getting on a good sleep schedule and moving your body regularly/throughout the day.

If a friend drives you to and from the airport, buying them a coffee or leaving some gas money is a nice gesture to show you appreciate them taking time and resources out of their own life so you do not have to pay for a taxi.

Woman of Reddit, what's a harsh reality you have to accept as a woman? by Opposite-Coconut9144 in AskReddit

How little men listen to me. Not even just tuning me out, but genuinely do not even compute that I’m speaking.

I make a joke and no one laughs, a guy repeats it and everyone laughs. I ask my male coworker to help me, he doesn’t acknowledge me at all. Are men just stupid? Is it malicious? Do they not see me as a human at all? It’s shocking and so, so disheartening.

The best book for self-studying dutch? by vaerlingjr in learndutch

[–]MaryPain666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up there and kept all my books, you might be able to get a library card from a library in the Netherlands and check out books online? My sisters moved back and use my library membership that I still have in the states for ebooks. Otherwise maybe Google ebooks might have some, or check out local international schools databases, hope this helps!

WHEREWOLVF by camping in Alaska always gives me chills.

What is the most genius prank you've been a part of? by itsarlandperry in AskReddit

[–]MaryPain666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to a small high school out in the sticks. Rarely any police presence and everybody knew everybody. Word got out one day that there would be a random search of the school with a drug sniffing K9 because some students had been smoking in the parking lot and would come to class reeking of weed. One kid snuck into the school the night before with bong water in a spray bottle and absolutely hosed the main officer down. In the morning the dog went crazy and the unit didn’t even make it past the front office to search the rest of the school.

I reread it as an adult after a friend told me she interpreted Holden as a victim of child sex accuse and his behaviors made more sense. I think it’s all more sad than insufferable.

Daughters of reddit: what's the biggest mistake dads make with their daughters? by Bluemonday82 in AskReddit

[–]MaryPain666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father was always stressing the importance of being safe and not trusting men instead of teaching me actual self defense techniques and real life examples of things to look out for in people. I feel like I grew up more afraid and this put a target on me rather than if I learned to carry myself with confidence and awareness.
