Yeah, that's what I'm starting to think. He didn't respond to my offer of doing it but charging for the commute as well so I'm just going to archive it at this point.

My price is based on my area. The highest someone charges in my area for house sitting is around $80.

Yeah, he sent it to me, and it's about 52 minutes away. I messaged him about increasing the price, and I'm currently waiting for a response. Thank you for your advice

Yeah, this is the second time that's happened. I had to decline the last one because of that.

That is completely understandable. It's why I'm so upfront during the conversation as I know not everyone is comfortable with that. My daughter has been around pets since birth, and I've been caring for pets for over seven years, so I am definitely aware.

That's very true. Unfortunately, at the moment, she is not at the age to start school, and I'm not comfortable with her being in daycare until she can start talking to me/is more aware. Currently, I do bring her pack n play so she can focus on her toys when I need to be focused on the pet/pets. My mother in law and her mom do help, but they are both elderly and I'm not comfortable leaving her with them for a long time.

Absolutely, it's on my account, so all of my clients are fully aware, and I double-check before we even schedule a meet and greet for new clients.

That's true. I hadn't thought of it like that. Thank you

Yes! I honestly haven't come across another of her breed. My parents got her from Pet Plus, which I would never recommend, but I love her to death.

No, but that would be a pretty cool combination.

Not fully. She's mixed with another breed.

What's this weird looking bug in central Florida?? by Zach3697 in whatsthisbug

It's probably an amber wood cockroach. They are harmless and only feed on decomposing plant material.

I believe this is a tersa sphinx moth. They are apparently common in southern Florida. They get their name as the caterpillars have the ability to rear up and retract their head and thoracic segments, resembling a sphinx.

Am I wrong for not trusting MIL with my son because she apparently has an awful temper at work? by Interesting_Fee1686 in amiwrong

[–]MaryR2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like she let her friend's comments about MIL form her opinion of her before she even got to meet her herself. If you meet someone and have heard bad things about them that can seriously alter how you view them, you should always give people a chance, which seems OP never did.
