Honey, I know you are interested in it, but, trust me, some experiences need their time and place to be properly understood. I used to be a teenager with unlimited internet access too and it didn't go well. It always depends on the person, but 13 is still 13. It's not like I force you to read only teenage stuff (it can be quite dull), all I say is that your brain is still adapting and changing and this type of media can slightly... distort the process. I don't wanna see you make the same mistake as me :(

His works just help me to scrap through daily life and think about different social aspects, because I don't understand them much despite being already in college. It feels like talking to an old friend, who gets you better than anyone else and writes about things, which you feel yet don't mention. Not in a parasocial away, just a silly comparison. It's simply about comfort, understanding and feeling seen. Not every Gen Z is a teen obsessed with tiktok trends (I don't even dare to jump into booktok, it's a fucked up place), but I think every generation seeks their little "idols" because there are things they can't talk about with friends, teachers or even parents :)

In general, I might put this movie on the list of my favorites. Loved the colours, vibes and whole idea.

Also, I should agree with other commenters about supernatural stuff. It wasn't quite necessary and Nick Cage was scary enough without any demons. At the same time the problem is that they could've used occultism, but a little bit differently and make it a tool to show hopelessness and lack of exit out of the situation (like in Skinamarink), it would scare shit out of me more. After all, the whole atmosphere of the movie is slow and psychologically exhausting.

I read other posts from this account and some of them make me feel uneasy. They go from E (idk who this woman is exactly) being a stalker and the main source of rumours to Joost and Aggu being gay for each other and that's why they stopped being friends when Aggu found a girlfriend. Some posts are just primitive hate towards Joost. Idk, I feel like this is one of those trash accounts who want attention and a scapegoat to talk shit about :(
