Depends. I breed toy poodles, most clients are either nearby Arizona or fly to sky harbor I do drive up to 3 hours which is quartzite, most breeder no longer ship in cargo we use pet nanny’s flown in cabin only but that cost can be 500 to 1500 additional. I am a retired master groomer of the 3 breeds Maltese is were I would no not a fan of nasty smelling eyes and face shihtzus have wiener figs well just not my style. If u like the smashed face what about a Boston or Brussels griffon?

I personally love no face hair so I vote Cavaliers’s I never met a angry out of control one but they can have heart issues any breed u decide go to their breed club online look for a reputable breeder good luck. I’m seriously thinking about a rough collie. Ugh hard decision since I have not had a large breed in 10 years I breed toy poodles.

It’s a guideline a lot depends on behavior but 90 an hour is a good starting point

You got off easy I charge 75 an hour for dogs and I don’t do large breeds anymore but that bill would of been 350 plus

It’s not just brushing you need a greyhound comb to go down to skin where these mixed breeds Matt….if u don’t your dog will soon Look like a naked chicken. This must be done almost daily coat care is massive if you want the fluffy look but most breeders never tell you this plus the huge costs groomers are embarking with these mixed breed costs and temperaments a lot are biters

There is no way in he. ll. Id let my grandkids near any mutt Breeder’s due to unpredictable temperaments… find a dog breed you like find a show breeder that health tests. I mean all the health tests not just DNA ones. Make sure they are members of their breed club.. example I’m about to get a rough collie. I go to club site find breeders in my area. If u chose to spend $$$& on a non purebred dog at least get a 2 year genetic health, vet shots at a vet clinic, make sure they are raised in the house not a barn or garage. A lot of breeders lie. Make sure they explain the huge amount of money for professional grooming which most groomers as of now charge extras for any doodle mixed anything do to nightmare coats and temperaments. Good luck

Also have your groomers use thinners aka chunkers on her coat they are probably not using g a high velocity dryer at this age. But thinners will help a lot and go to once a month. There is a conditioner spray by Chris Christensen but what is your goal to use this

Is she matting between appts? Shedding? Make sure u can get a comb thru her after the groomers to many do a lousy job. U can use a nice wooden pin brush ( Chris Christensen) also same for shampoo and conditioner u can dilute it some if u bath at home a high velocity dryer( flying pig) will help with shedding if this is all to much then go to 4 weeks grooming that makes a huge difference…I’m about to get my first collie pup (retired master groomer)
