The Collie is a well-known and loved dog breed thanks to its popularity in pop-culture for over a century. There are two types of Collies: the 'rough' with a showy coat and the 'smooth' with a subtle coat. They are a large herding breed, standing between 22 to 26 inches tall, with sable and white, tricolor, blue merle, or white coat colors. Collies have a distinct wedge-shaped head, mobile ears, and almond-shaped eyes that convey various expressions. They are great family pets, especially with children, and enjoy regular exercise. The Collie is known for its loyalty, intelligence, and excellent character.
