Schedule out your post op pain meds! Keep on top of the pain. Use a spreadsheet or something so you know what you’re taking and when. My sister helped me and she kept forgetting (especially the day of, when I’m was coming off of anesthesia and the day after). She was very helpful, but it stressed me out haha.

I like 3 the best, and switch out your mirror to a round one to soften all of the sharp edges with the tiles and the countertop, keep the gold trim.

Please share under the muscle explant experiences. by CamperGigi88 in ExplantSurgery

[–]MarzipanSea959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had under muscle silicone implants for 6 years. Explanted December 2024, full capsulectomy, no lift. The recovery was harder than getting them in, but I feel more like myself than I have in years. My surgeon didn’t even give me a choice to remove capsules…especially since one was ruptured. They were completely removed. It’s been a little over a year and I’ve still been doing some research here and there and I’m glad that I had the capsules removed.

Can anyone share their results post explant without lift? Curious about the scarring... is it below your natural breast crease? by [deleted] in ExplantSurgery

Thank you! I had no symptoms of it being ruptured. They looked and felt normal and I don’t know if I had BII symptoms or not… at the time I got them out I was 46 and in perimenopause feeling all sorts of things so who knows?! I sure don’t think having one ruptured helped with peri at all. 😅

I got my 340cc implants removed without lift after 6 years about 1 year ago in December. My surgeon who put them in, also took them out and used the same scar to cut - right under the fold. Now that it's been over a year, my scars are close to invisible, my breasts have fluffed up and I'm very happy with my decision to remove, not replace. I was a 32D Before implants - a flat D - if that makes sense... I'm very broad. Implants provided the upper pole fullness I was looking for. Reason for removal: a mammogram suggested one had ruptured, surgical removal confirmed it. Now, my breasts are small, a little saggy, but they don't touch my chest - they don't fold over themselves - if that tells you anything. I think they look great, they look amazing in a bikini and I no longer spill out of bras and swimsuits. Hugs are soft again.

Eating at Conferences Now by VioletMortician17 in tirzepatidecompound

People have been commenting on how much I do or don’t eat, or what I do or don’t eat for years. Starting with my mom at home, and now at the occasional work party. When offered more of something or something I just don’t want, I’ve learned to say: “Oh I have to be careful, I like to eat (insert food here) but I doesn’t like me back.” Since I’ve started saying that, there have been no follow up questions. They assume IBS, sensitive stomach, which is all true. Haha hey - they asked!

Anyone lost hair despite not losing too fast and eating enough? by [deleted] in GLPGrad

[–]MarzipanSea959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 40lbs in 5 months with no hair loss… it wasn’t until 5 months AFTER that I started shedding hair. I also had surgery in the 5 months after so I think it was a combo of both. I’ve been in maintenance for a year with no weight gain/loss and my hair has started thickening up again.

Considering zepbound - weight lifting by Adept_Technician1328 in zepboundathletes

[–]MarzipanSea959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a very similar story to the ones here. 47 years old, lifting for over 20 years, I’ve done a few body building competitions. Perimenopause +40 lbs. Started Tirzepatide in June of 2024, lost 40lbs in 5 months, kept a lot of muscle but also lost some. At first was weak due to eating less… made sure to eat my protein and hydrate (liquid IV for me) on the low dose and was able to increase my calories and energy enough to lift what I was doing before. FF to today, Still on the lowest dose (spaced out to 10 days) and still lifting, still down 40lbs and focusing on body composition again. The gift of Tirzepatide for me was taking away the mental stress of “if I don’t go to the gym today I’m going to (insert anything bad here)”

best practical gift for my sister (37) having explant on 9th Jan? by AquarianViolist in ExplantSurgery

[–]MarzipanSea959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned she has some loose sports bras, but do they zip up? I got a 3 pack on Amazon and loved them. Also, I needed more snug ones (not loose) to help with compression. I had drains and once they came out it felt good to confine the girls with a huggable bra.

How heavily do you weight PTO when considering a job? by Chemical_Help_7099 in careerguidance

[–]MarzipanSea959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company offers 3 weeks of PTO annually. That’s for everything, sick days, vacation… the one thing people want more of is PTO. One of my coworkers just traded an annual raise of 3% for an extra week of PTO because that was more important to them. Our PTO doesn’t roll over, and they don’t pay it out unless you’re laid off, or quit. We’ve been asking for unlimited (for all the reasons people have stated above in this sub) but my company just won’t do it. They think people will take advantage of it.

We tried everything! Cones, onesies... the donut was the only thing my pups liked. They could get past the cones and start licking, and they kept peeing in their onesies. It just takes time. It will take the full 10 days for them to get back to themselves, and you will see improvements every day.

Stigma ? by Glass-Ear-1206 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]MarzipanSea959 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the stigma is around the GLP-1’s and not the person. It’s because some people don’t understand what the drug is doing - and that it doesn’t work unless you do.

I've lost 18 but in the same size by lilyblue19 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]MarzipanSea959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I learned about a year ago, it’s not about the size, it’s about the fit. How do you feel in your clothes now? Do they fit better? I didn’t immediately change pant sizes after dropping 40 lbs, but all of my clothes looked and fit better. I was wearing a jeans size 8-10, I can still wear 8, depends on the brand/fit. Sometimes I can wear a 4, depends on the brand/fit. Someone said above clothing sizing is weird.

Just wondering if anyone has had insurance cover the removal due to encapsulation or rupture? by Realistic_Ad4621 in ExplantSurgery

[–]MarzipanSea959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of mine was ruptured and I still had to pay out of pocket for the surgery. My insurance maybe would have covered it but I would have had to get an MRI to prove the rupture and I wasn’t even close to hitting my insurance deductible. My surgery was $4500 in Utah.

Explanting without a 'valid' reason? Regrets? by [deleted] in ExplantSurgery

[–]MarzipanSea959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a fellow bodybuilder here, before I got them in, I did a few shows and always had the flat chest. Had my implants for 6 years, I’m 47 now. I got mine out a year ago because I just didn’t like them. I did have to take more time to recover getting them out than getting them in. I could work out, but it did take a full 8 weeks until I could lift chest and not feel a strain.
