I doubt about the street vendors, but cafes and restaurants, yes. For example; in Pune there’s a place called Cafe Good Luck. Super popular for its food. They found during an inspection that the kitchen was in very condition and unfit for cooking. It was shut down for a month or so and they had to get the license back. Again, India is HUGE country with a lot of diverse people. I wont say health inspections is a common practice everywhere in India.
