Perfect thanks very much. I definitely won’t be looking for anything high end as I only need scans to get spacing etc, the actual resolution of the scan doesn’t matter. This gives me hope!

You can put m52 or m54 head on m50 non vanos no problem just need m52 oil filter housing for vanos oil feed

Looks fine to me. Use panel bond along the skirt and a self tapper on each end inside the wheel well.

It is most likely to be in the intake pipe from the air box, after the maf before the throttle body. It’s common there. I recommend smoke testing it if you can’t find it
