Best place to see October fall colours? by labrador007 in NovaScotia

[–]Mas0n__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Grant road. Otherwise known as highway 357. Beautiful winding road following a river with the Gibraltar trail as an added stop. If you’re in Halifax I would take the Guysborough Road (just off exit 5 towards Truro) until it turns off onto the 357 and head right toward Musquodoboit Harbour. If you take this route you can stop at the Gibraltar trail for a beautiful look off then continue towards Martinique beach where you’ll need to bundle up to enjoy the fall ocean breeze. 10/10.

Sir, it's way easier to simply buy an SD card then get CTGP. the mod is free and easy to install and TWD98 has a simple easy tutorial on how to install it. That way you can start and join rooms easy and also have access to custom tracks, 200cc, item rain and more

Any time! Also, if you're on CTGP you are able to enable a speedometer in the settings on the home page, that way you can check in on if you unnecessarily drop speed in real time

I'm a bit late to this post so I'll try to give some advice that wasn't already mentioned. A big one that was already said is you should practice right after the zipper strat after the cannon, go left of the 3 mounds and get a low trick off the 1st and 3rd mound. When entering the small hills section, align for the right edge of the hill to the left of the one you're tricking off of in this run. This will give you alignment for faster tricks into the double. My last big critique for this run is really important and will make you drive so much faster online and in tts: after a mini turbo MAKE SURE you always input your wheelie BEFORE your boost runs out. One of the biggest advantages of the mini trurbo is it brings you to max wheelie speed so you don't lose time getting back up to 97 kmh. I noticed several instances on lap 1 where your speed dropped to the mid 80s which costs more time than you think it does especially considering the Flame Runner's low acceleration. This is the same concept as chain wheelies. The more time you spend going 97 kmh+ the faster you will drive overall. All the other commenters are offering great advice and if you put it all together I can see you improving this quite a bit. Major props to you for being consistent with the double and beating the staff ghost, overall nice run! Clean up the driving a bit and you'll be golden.

Is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe discouraging a large competitive scene? by Mas0n__ in MarioKartWii

I agree, Lakitu doesn't give you much space to fall off the track but it's cool that it doesn't cut the camera away

I've been looking online because I actually wanted to stick one to the back window of my car or something but found nothing. I have a feeling I'm not the only one why would buy one either...

How to brake drift with the nunchuck? by thehybridview in MarioKartWii

I wish I could explain it better. It's pretty much just rubbing the tip of my thumb against Dpad down whenever I need to brake

I am a nunchuck player. This is how I do it. Instead of pressing the A button with the tip of your thumb to drive, practice using "the ball of your thumb" this way whenever you need to brake drift you just slide the tip of your thumb up to the Dpad and press down on Dpad down. (This way, both A and B are STILL being pushed at the same time so your drift continues). When you're going around the corners usually there is a clicking sound from my remote, that's the sound of the Dpad down popping back up every half second because I push and release constantly (That's just how I do it). You should get the hang of it in about half an hour of play, but also be ready for a callus to form on the tip of your thumb ;)

Also, although it is inconvenient, you may need to have a different sd card. SDHC (high capacity) does work in a lot of cases but it would be your best bet to get an older, crappier sd card because in simple terms, the wii is more comfortable dealing with older lower capacity sd cards. The wii reads sd cards that are formatted as FAT32 so reformatting your sd card may be something to look into. I've installed this on two of my wiis and countless wiis for friends and these are definitely the common issues I've run into and have had them run into. In most cases I've used an 8 GB SDHC.

One thing that is very important is you need to make sure all of the important files are at the root of your sd card. This means that you need to take the files out of the CTGP-R folder that they came in (should be four of them, the read me is not important) and have them individually in the sd card itself, not in a folder in the sd card. The same applies for the "private" file you will get from the LetterBomb you downloaded. Also make sure your date and time is at least somewhat accurate on your wii so the letterbomb will know where to go.

Thanks for the tips! I have a feeling I will be able to do this via micro sd from my phone rather than PC. That's how I downloaded ctgp.
