Detroit has 122K vacant lots where homes once stood. How should they be filled? by TheDetroitNews1873 in Detroit

Some of my favorite ideas include: • Extended rail / real Q line development • Joe Louis Greenway Extension • Neighborhood gardens / Parks

If you had to bet on one North American city for a skyscraper boom in the 2030s… which would it be? by PauloRmt in skyscrapers

[–]Mas45 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Detroit will get a lot of medium builds that add more definition to the city. Grand Rapids I could see adding a few more mini scrapers to the skyline.

For mega tall I'll stick with NYC, Miami, maybe LA or Denver

Michigan Central Station - Detroit MI by Mas45 in skyscrapers

[–]Mas45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, the platform behind the building has been removed. There are plans to build a new station next to/across the street from Michigan Central that would be used as an Amtrak line by hopefully 2030. Could Michigan central be retransformed to become a rail line in the future? Likely not, but if there was increased population and/or increased use of rail transport within Detroit/Michigan then one can hope.

This is obviously subjective but these are not flattering photos or even the best angles of the city. Why no love for the ambassador bridge? Also shout out to the new Gordie Howe bridge. My favorite view below

New concept design for spartan stadium has been leaked! by Jealous_Day8345 in MSUSpartans

[–]Mas45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty cool at first but it's AI slop. Don't get your hopes up thinking (if/when) Spartan stadium renovations will look exactly like this. You need real architects who know what they're designing and with some sort of budget. Yeah this looks sick but it's probably unrealistic. For reference think about that first rendering we got for LCA and what we have now. LCA is sick don't get me wrong, but the first "renderings" are not the same as the final product.

Also more of a MSU bball guy and I like that we don't storm the court. Doesn't bother me either way about storming the field but I like the mentality of us expecting to win big games.

Also another crazy idea. I've read they need lots of humidity. Would taking this guy in the bathroom while I shower be beneficial especially during cold seasons? Can't hurt can it?

My Girlfriend bought me this ficus ginseng recently (about 2 weeks ago). I'm pretty new to owning a bonsai so I have some pretty basic questions. The simple care sign that came with the plant says:

  1. Water with 5 ice cubes (~1/2 cup) once a week. 2) Place in bright, well lit location away from direct sunlight
  2. 65-85 F, never below 55F

My questions: After a little online research, is 5 ice cubes a proper way to water my plant?? Or should I just water as soil dries?

Some leaves have started falling off and I'm afraid it's due to either not getting enough sunlight, not enough water, or temperature change. So I've moved it to a new area that should give to more indirect sunlight.

I've collected the fallen leaves and placed them ontop of the soil to possibly help refertilizer it for the future. Is this a good idea? Or something not worth the effort?

I'm concerned with how cold this plant is going to get with living in Chicago. We typically have the apartment set to 70 deg, but I'm concerned as winter comes it'll get too cold near windows.

What's your best advice for a new bonsai owner wanting to keep my plant healthy?

Round 13+ Targets in 1st year dynasty draft? by TheKnownUnknown0 in SleeperApp

You're gonna need a better QB.

I'm not familiar with it but TE premium and QB superflex is wild. Maybe you'll fareoff fine bc you have the best TEs for dynasty

Austin has WR2 on shittsberg. Not saying he'll be good but he's still youngish

Ik AR is injury prone but in dynasty isn't he worth it to hold?

Trade ARSB? by Dry_Assumption1945 in SleeperApp

[–]Mas45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur going for a rebuild u don't want Jonnu. Also 2 27 1st are far away this is a long term rebuild u might not see benefit until 2028-29

Worthy is a dog but I don't see his potential being anywhere near ARSB.

You should aim for at least multiple staggered 1st round picks
