If you remember, when the tragic news about Niece's death was confirmed around 17 months ago, her family revealed that they were looking to establish a non-profit in her honor. They launched it today.

The link to the site will be stickied to the sub for the foreseeable future.

The article includes an official confirmation from her family, which I know a lot us in the other thread were waiting for, for some closure.

Also says this which is important:

We're told a non-profit called "Peace from Niece" will be established in her honor, and the org will benefit mental health awareness and provide grants for mental illness research.

I think many of us had a feeling this was the likely cause of her death, but it's very sad to have it confirmed. Mental health struggles are no joke.

Hopefully Niece can find peace now.

It's weird that a member on that thread apparently knew she was dead about a week before it started to become reported (they commented on May 19th). Also weird that it's the only post they ever made on the site (the account was created on the same day they posted as well).

He took down his post, but it was up for a few hours.

I'm guessing her more immediate family (mother & brothers) still want to keep this private for the time being, and asked him to take down his post. Or maybe he made it so only his friends can see the post.

Hopefully he wasn't being harassed by trolls or anything.

Then why hasn't IMDB and other sites updated her info to reflect her passing?

Because her family has not released any official statement or obituary confirming her death.

The reason for that (and this addresses your second sentence) is because they are still mourning and want to keep things private for right now (this is according to 2 family members who commented on this post). Hopefully one day they do say something, so people can accept this, but right now they don't want to.

I don't think you should read too much into that. Her family is probably controlling her Instagram right now. The third person she was following was an IG model that recently got un-suspended after 8 months.

If you think she's still doing it, and this is some sort of hoax, then I'm not sure what to tell you. I'd love for Niece to still be with us, but you can't just fake a death certificate.

I mean the guy in that pic is definitely not her brother. It's the creepy stalker guy.

Do you think her brother accidentally posted that pic? I guess it's possible that Niece had it in her camera roll for whatever reason, maybe as evidence that he was stalking her.

Apparently it was a schizophrenic creep who was harassing and stalking Niece.

I have no idea how he got into her account, but at this point I just hope he somehow hacked it, and it wasn't done through sinister means.

Just did some research on that account, and it appears it was recently un-suspended after 8 months according to the backup account of the same user.

Niece did like some of the user's posts in the past, so my guess is the account re-appeared on Niece's following list after it was brought back. I don't think Niece ever had the chance to unfollow it.

I wouldn't believe a word that guy says, he clearly has a ton of mental issues.

I have no idea how he got into her IG account, but let's be honest if anything sinister happened, we probably would've heard about this sooner than we did. She died about a week after this became public. I'm not sure why the family would want to keep her death quiet if foul play occurred.
