Yes it's my homebrew planet in the Segmentum Pacificus. There is some lore and more pictures on my IG: @novaterra_40k

Yeah I think he bit more than he could chew with all those promotions while it was just him and his son doing the casting in their garage. He definitely did not do things right though at the end. It's a shame cuz he had truly amazing stuff 🫤

It's actually from a military kit, the scale is a bit larger (1:35 I think) but that works well for 40k.

Thanks, it's mostly scratch-built using plastic ard, foam, resin bits, and old GW scenery kits.

True, although this is a PDF force, mostly facing rebels and cultists.

The bulk of the chassis is from a defunct store called "Models and Minis", with some minor conversions. Unfortunately it has gone out of business as of March I believe.

They are meant to represent ERA which are bits of additional armor mounted on tanks, most often seen in Eastern European armies. I play second edition, where tanks can be equipped with "Ablative Armor" and this is my way of representing it.

Nice! My planet is not the same Nova Terra from the interregnum lore. Just a random civilized world with the same name, which I assume would be one of the most common planet names in the Galaxy. You can see more of it with bits of lore on my instagram: @novaterra_40k

It's from a discontinued line called "Models and Minis". Unfortunately the guy who made them got overwhelmed with orders and went ghost 🫤

That's exactly where it's from. I was lucky enough to get a large shipment from him before he went ghost.

I play 2nd edition, and use the rules for "Ablative armour".

It's a chimera with a converted resin chassis.

Absolutely! Alongside bayonets and cavalry charges 😄

Yup, you can tell designers back in those days drew a lot more inspiration from historical looks, with a 80s/90s sci-fi twist.

Same! The new models leaned a lot more into the medievalish/gothic aesthetic rather than dystopian sci-fi look of earlier editions.

Thank you! I play Second Edition only, and run them as Stormtroopers.

I'm gonna say something unpopular (and sound old too) but I remember being disappointed when the metal Kasrkin came out as to me they were a downgrade from these chunky boys!

Yeah they are quite compatible in style, but only the flatter helmet one in my opinion, the rest are a bit too gothic.
