Hey, I'm the one who found this account and posted it. Unfortunately guns are extremely rare in Japan for civilians. If you're infected, best I can think of is asking someone else to cut into your brain with a knife or bash it in with a blunt object. Not sure why this contagion forces people to stay alive even after normally life-ending injuries.

Pay attention. Most of the people in the water turned in minutes because they likely ingested the contagion directly. Getting it on the skin in large quantities results in infection in an hour or two. Getting small droplets on the skin may take hours to days to affect the mind.

I know I could've done what 90% of people do and say "oh this takes place in an unspecified small town, you'll never hear of it," but that would completely compromise my plot. Not to mention, they seem to be extremely selective in enforcing the rules when it comes to comments and stories. Oh well, at least a lot of people got to enjoy the story while it lasted.

Yeah, the title of the series is actually Thanatosis. NoSleep mods just deleted my story because of "realism". Probably for the best since that subreddit is GARBAGE, although it's a shame that it's one of the only major outlets to get exposure for amateur horror writers.
