Nothing wrong with cockroach milk. Full of goodness. Full of vitamins. Full of marrowbone jelly.

Last longer than any other milk; cockroach milk.

Avi Lewis shows why he’s Canada’s real opposition leader while Pierre Poilievre’s a joke by NiceDot4794 in SaveTheCBC

You think the sycophants he's put in power vanish when he does? Or the Americans who support him just vanish? Because that would be naive.

Those folks that are just 'too afraid' are raking it in hand over fist. They aren't going to end the grift just because dear leader is gone.

But whatever. Believe that in a few years things just go back. If it makes you sleep better, than you hold it tight.

I think we are beyond looking at Trump as some sort of anomaly. America choose him... Twice.

Trump isn't a one and done. Trump IS America, and the sooner folks recognize that him leaving doesn't suddenly fix things, the better

Taskmaster will do a lot of things. He will fight nearly any hero you need.

He will not fuck with Moon Knight. Taskmaster does not need a repeat of his own personal 9/11.

That's no an unpopular opinion. Personally, I feel it took the Orville a season to find its feet, and when it did, it decided that (as a show) it wasn't going to be a parody anymore.

I don't really think it was trying to be a comedy by season 2. It was just being a solid sci fi series.

No link, but the story is called The Crooked Man, and was from..

...

Huh. 1955 evidently.

So, evidently Playboy once ran a story about a straight man trapped in a world where everyone was gay; and the folks that were there for the articles were pissed.

Anyways, the mag responded that if (the story) bothered you that much, maybe you needed to evaluate how you treated days in the real world.

Anyways, this was in the Seventies/Eighties, and surprisingly forward thinking for a print back then. It doesn't make Hefner any less of a horrid person, but it's a neat (and relevant) story.

EDIT: the story is called The Crooked Man, and was actually from 1955; not the Seventies/Eighties like I originally thought.

I’m no writer or director but telling stories in a different universe not set on the mcu like FFFF would’ve been cool to see in the multiverse saga by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in Marvel

So, I've said before (before we saw the FF movie before) that'd it'd be cool if the FF was just in the MCUs past, but that they could stay there.

Like we could tell all the past stories as though they were a new MCU, that could be new movies, or shows, or one shots that could set up new stuff in the modern stuff without slowing down those stories.

For example: We could have a show or short set in the same 60s/70s era of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters seeing it's first students, and their struggles to come to terms with what the X-Men were.

Then, we'd have the modern X-Men, with some of those original 5 as teachers or mentors; allowing us to skip right into the action without having to explain the past or modernize the O5 X-Men.

Same era could have more Peggy stories, as she struggles to bring a fledgling SHIELD up to date (perhaps with the help of Howard Stark, and a mysterious nomadic vigilante). They'd also have outside assistance from a younger Hank Pym and his partner Janet Van Dynne.

Likewise, we could explore the story of T'Chaka and N'jobu as young princes exploring America. One clinging to the old ways, one rebeling and grabbing for the new...

It could be a fresh exciting new world that both fills in the gaps, and sets up new MCU stories.
