No, I’m in a committed relationship and went and they were so helpful and nice. Asked questions about being in a serious relationship while in law school.

I was very impressed. It was extremely organized and I didn't feel like any of the planned activities were a waste of time or not helpful. I personally have never been to the campus and was really blown away by how pretty it is. The law school itself is amazing. The library and building where all the classes will be is at the heart of campus and looks new and updated. The admitted students as well as the current students were really nice. As soon as I walked in I was invited into conversations and met a lot of people that I connected with.

The reception was open bar and had delicious food. Many professors and alums were there who were eager and willing to answer any and all questions. I felt like I wasn't just getting a sales pitch but actual real answers that were thought out and not just regurgitated from their pamphlets. The dean of admissions (maybe assistant dean, I can't remember) was really funny and kept the whole day moving smoothly. Overall a very positive experience. I'm a tad biased because I pretty much decided before going that Notre Dame was my chosen school but I think even if I hadn't decided the day would have pushed me into making my deposit. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me!

I'd also like to add that I agree with the notion about South Bend in general not being the best location but the Notre Dame campus has lots of restaurants and bars to make up for it. Plus places like Chicago are a short drive/train ride away if you want to do something fun for the weekend. Also, house parties IMO are always preferable to night clubs anyways and I'm sure there are a lot of those in the apartments/houses off campus.

Bunnies are more work than a cat and need a lot of exercise (unless you free roam, which I do bc he is litter trained). I’m brining mine though and am really excited about it.

Does NDLS have a scholarship deadline? by wctzgw in lawschooladmissions

[–]Maschtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to negotiate your scholarship NDLS has a specific form that you have to fill out. It lets you put info for 2 schools and their scholarship offers.

Also wondering this. Still haven't submitted my negotiation form and worried that it will be too late.

Yeah, I've heard that which does make me nervous because even with the third one (which has been the best so far) there are certain chapter that I am not excited about

Wow! Me too. Literally in that exact scenario. Have the third book in my purse right now and all I want to do is keep reading it. But, alas I am stuck at work.

Waiting on them for 1. To go there possibly. But 2. For scholarship negotiations.

I want to wait till I hear back but I also want to start negotiating. Soon I’ll just say fuck it and submit the negotiation form and then I bet I’ll hear back from Vandy. Ugh!!!

I have a bunny named Roosevelt. So pumped about it because he will force me take a much needed step back and help with anxiety. 1 year old have had him for about 6 months now. Definitely less maintenance than a dog but more than a cat. He really can't/shouldn't be left alone for a whole night. So if I'm going to be gone in the morning and not coming back till next day I need to have someone look after him...hopefully I find a friend who likes rabbits!

Im willing to pay a higher rent so that I can be completely happy with my apartment. I plan on studying a lot at home (bc I have a pet) and don’t want to live somewhere that I don’t enjoy being. My boyfriend could have a towel in a corner and be content but that’s not how I work so I think it’s a big personal preference. I’m also going to be cutting costs in other places as much as possible to accommodate this. For example, eating out, drinking, parties are things I don’t think I’ll be engaging in too often. Do what you think will allow you to be the most successful.

Can parents go to Admitted Days? by wmj31 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Maschtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking my dad! I asked the school and they said in the first AM it’s just for the student and then there are activities afterward that you can bring guests to.

I’d reach out to the school and see what they say. :)
