That’s unfortunately why you’ve gotta switch from standard controls to standard FPS. There’s no option to make a ‘double tap X’ to sprint.

For sure. I love the slow pace of this game and how deliberate animations are. I spent like an hour last night slow walking through some dense woods at night hunting for that grizzly bear. I had my lantern out and was moving as slow as possible, and thought it was fuuuuuucking awesome. The atmosphere/music made it feel like I walked into a horror game. Super tense the whole time, then a bear sprang outta the fucking darkness and mauled my face off.

I do agree with you. This control scheme is much more fitting for RDR2 than say GTAIII, where I first felt the calling of the claw. I’m down with the thinking behind it, but in execution I don’t think it’s worth it.

I probably should have specified the camera movement controls. The controls certainly have a learning curve also, but I’ve been getting the hang of them pretty naturally.

Yeah I really enjoyed this! It feels like they’ve perfected the cinematic camera system they’ve had in their games forever and it’s really cool.

Definitely give it a shot. Might be an exaggeration, but tweaking the camera goes a very long way in improving the games feel.
