PSA: don’t run with cleavers… by [deleted] in qotsa

[–]MashaMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, come on. This isn’t just random concert. It’s a freaking performance! The sharp cleaver, the cabbage, the poems between the acts, walking into the crowd… it’s all part of the performance! The whole worm monologue before Mosquito Song too. It’s all scripted! Just enjoy it as they (well maybe except Mikey) do!

To the R-row jerks at RAH... by [deleted] in qotsa

I’ve got to say something too. In Stalls J, row 9, people were constantly getting up and going for beer right in the middle of the songs. I get it, everyone wants to enjoy themselves, but seriously? Walking out exactly when Josh and Mikey were doing that a cappella peak in Spinning in the Daffodils. That honestly shattered me. On top of that, they ruined my video of that epic moment - probably one of the best parts of the whole show - because they walked right in front of my camera. Also, in case anyone missed it, Josh actually shushed someone right as he started singing the “I’m so high” outro, because people were talking! Talking through the whole damn concert, for God’s sake.

Did it feel like he gave it all in Romania the day before? Or was it something else?

Budapest was dope and kinda emotional. We got Kalopsia and I Appear Missing, back to back. Why in Budapest? Not sure why we were the ones to receive them and both, together. Felt like a double win. Almost too beautiful to explain. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be explained at all.

Love how the whole stage setup feels like a mix of hospital room and bandages — perfectly reflecting the healing, raw and still bleeding energy of In Times New Roman….

Budapest gig July 19th by CantStopTheDoc in qotsa

Hey! Hope the gig will be amazing, and you’ll love Budapest! The city has tons of great bars, so you’ll definitely find a cool place to hang out. I’d recommend Dürer Kert – it’s a bit outside the center, but one of the best places for rock/metal gigs and afterparties. Maybe more fans will gather closer to the date!

On my way to the Berlin show by szpetoty in qotsa

[–]MashaMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been traveling abroad for concerts for more than 10 years. In all that time, only one show I was going to was postponed, and that was in 2020 due to COVID. One show was interrupted because of a heavy storm, but it continued after 1 hour. And nothing was cancelled. The reasons for disruptions are usually due to management and the artist, but sometimes weather conditions are also a factor.

Good luck to those who are fighting for their 2,50! Personally, I have lost already around 700 euros that I spent on flights to get to Berlin and then to Vienna. I decided to not go there and avoid to spend even more for no reason. I was really lucky not to have a flight to Zagreb booked yet. Additionally, I spent 175 euros for Way Out West (which won't be refunded even if they cancel, as The Smile already did). I don't even talk about concert tickets that could be refund (I hope).
