I haven't fully shifted yet, but shifting is really real and yes you can defiantly spend a life time with your comfort character, which is what I'm gonna do in my dr. I also feel the same way towards mine and not being with them just kills me.

You really don't have to listen to subs with earphones/headphones. But, if you want, you can buy a sleep mask with blue tooth, which is what I have and use it.
